I've found out a way to move multiple apps + pages also for those who haven't figured out yet.

How to move multiple apps on PC:

While selecting apps hold down the CTRL button on your keyboard then click any of the apps you want to move, then release the CTRL button. Then click on one of the apps you have selected and then drag them over to where you want the apps to be.

How to move app pages on PC:

Click and drag the page to where you want it to be. You can not move multiple pages at once.

Just a tip if you guys are having trouble or wanted a faster way to move apps. Don't flame me just informing the uninformed.
If someone could PM me on how to do this on a Mac that would be appreciated. Thanks.

It works with Mac. You just hold command like you would with any other program.

I'll change your post so don't get 8,000 pointless messages trying to correct you.

This was demo-ed in the keynote as well. So yeah, definitely works on a mac.

So they showed you how to move multiple apps at the event yesterday crap...:( sorry.

  5. Show me how to move an app on page 13 and you'll be my hero. Unfortunately it can't be done so this app management stuff is pretty much useless to me at least.

Does the App Management comes only with an iDevice running OS3.1?
Because I don't see any management stuff... May be because I'm having 16 pages now...

On a site-note: Can someone with OS3.1 please inform me if more than 11 pages are still possible? I haven't updated yet, because I'm going to have to re-arange my apps anyhow once I get my ordered iPhone GS and my iPod Touch goes to my wife, but would like to know whether it is still possible to do the little trick and get more than the limiting 11 pages...

  7. 11 page limit is still there...anything beyond page 11 is untouchable you couldn't drag an app to a paticular page if you wanted. Sure you could drag an app from the list on the left? Nope can't be done.

Regardless the biggest improvement they've made in OS 3.1.1 is spotlight searches title names now too instead of previously just filenames. I can search for "Kniz" and get all games by Reiner Knizia for instance Poison, Robot Master, Knights of Charlemagne...pretty cool stuff and the way it should've been in the first place.

I can - currently running 3.1.1 and have 12 pages.

Seems that if you use iTunes to arrange apps, it goes back to 11, but the trick still works (in my case Voice Memos was the last app, so after that sync I got 12 pages. ;))

Wasn't able to complete my backup yesterday as it was time to leave before it completed (2 hours+ for 12GB of data...)

I'm really hoping to complete my first 3.1 backup today, started it an hour or so ago, and it's about 1/3 done.

Just a warning to those with more than 11 pages, if you rearrange pages using iTunes, all your other pages will disappear. I just learnt that the hard way. Anyone know of an easier way to get all those pages back?

what if you try the glitch again...maybe the extra pages will reappear?

I'm curious about this as well since I have around 20 pages right now

You can re-add pages via the glitch, but if you organize apps in iTunes, they go away again...

Only easy way to get them back is revert to your backup if it was recent enough not to lose anything important... :(
