I just downloaded the new iTunes finally. Does anyone know much about this new DJ feature?

I went into it and it made me playlist, sort of like Genius would.

The playlist made me laugh, though. it was a bunch of classical music and opera (yeah, you heard me) with AC/DC's "Big Balls" smack in the middle:p

That's not exactly the best playlist for a party.

Won't update for awhile, what functionality does it have VS. Genius? Does it have to connect to iTunes servers to make your playlist like with genius?

I don't know about the it needing to connect to a server. It seems to randomly pick a song, then make a genious playlist from it.

It allows people nearby to make recommendations with the iTunes remote from thier iPhone or iPod.

That seems to be about it, I think.

Interesting, So can "Strangers" within the LAN can see what's in the library?
And they can make requests just not actually control the player?...
Sounds pretty cool for a party situation....
