It's still "waiting for review" We have been told, by a high profile dev, that it can take up to 3/4 weeks at worst - I guess some people are more lucky than most... as I know one dev that submitted on the same day as we did and was approved on the 4th Nov.
The person reviewing it is probably having too much fun to update the status of it or approve it haha
Bahhhhh, such BS... There's only a couple games I'm actually looking forward to, and this is the closest to release and probably the one that'll I'll like most. The wait is killing me!!!!
I'm keeping busy working on other projects just to keep my mind off the wait. As soon as it goes out of the "waiting for review", I need to contact OpenFeint and get the leaderboards cleared, ready for it's release - I know one developer on an xbox live game that set the high score very high on launch and pissed a load of people off.
How would you go about bribing Apple We are getting really good feedback from the previewers - it seems like everyone thinks it's universally a good game
GRR RGRGGGGRRRR I am so ANGRY @ Apple!!!!!!!!!!! GRRGRgRGGRGRgRGGRgRGgRG WAREZ MAH GAEM??!?!?!?!??! Sorry, I just had to get that off my chest...
Be nice people You will get to play the game sooner or later. It has actually only been a bit over a couple months since we first anounced the game. That's a very short wait compared to some games. I know that people very typically anounce when an iPhone game is submitted, then release as soon as its approved, but it actually feels quite strange compared to my past experience working for publishes. Most often, the first release candidate is ready atleast a couple months before the release date. Then it may go to porting, or straight to submission to the nintendo or sony or what ever, who might posibily bounce it back because they have strong quality control. But there is enough extra time in the schedual to resubmit, then go to manifacturing, then land on the store shelves on the published release date. I'm not sure getting iphone approval is any worse then on other platforms or not. In away, these situations are more the developers fault for how they handle timing and announcing the release. For future titles we release, I'd will be a bit tempted to hold back the release till well after we expect to be approved, so that we can give a firm release date, rather then making everbody have to go insane checking the app store every day. But, for this game, Jet Car Stunts, we are keen to get it to you guys as soon as we can.
Thanks Luke! We get this way for all highly anticipated games Actually this is the right amount of craziness for an upcoming game. Any worse and you'll start to see spam and the thread becomes 80% about nonsense lol
