Well, this idea's been rattling around in my head all day; What if, SEGA made a port of the cult classic chao garden from Sonic Adventure 2:Battle? such a game would be easily worth 5 dollars, i'd even go so far as to say 10. Heck, with a little bit of polish, it might even be worth a spot in the 20$'Premium Games' section, hinted on in articles of monthes past. there are severy problems that could occur; 1.unlocking commodities for purchase in the black market. since in the original game, you unlocked these items through getting emblems for accomplishing story-based missions. since this would merely be a port of the garden, not the game, my solution would be to have these unlocked through chao-raising achievements, just like the hero or dark garden. (i.e. raising certain levels in certain skills to a certain level, raising a specific type of chao) a certain amount of items would be available for purchase at the beggining of the game. 2. earning money to purchase such commodities. these were also earned through story based gameplay, i suggest a starting amount, then players must buy items, and compete in events such as chao karate to earn more. ALSO, in the event a player should run out of money, a loan system should be added to the black market, so players dont have to constantly have to start a new game if they get unlucky. 3, and this is a big one. Chaos drives/animals. Also earned through story-play, these would be avalable in the black market. 4.character selection. In SA2:B a character was selectable before entering the garden, to have either hero, dark, or normal growth through actions. my solution is to have not a character, but a glove, such as in sonic advance versions of the chao garden, that has choices between mean or nice acts towards any specific chao. OR a character would be selectabe before entering a garden, youll understand whilst reading below. 5. navigation. instead of a single main lobby, i propse a menu system, with selectable boxes labeled gardens, school, data management(saving, loading) and options(bgm, sfx, control scheme). say i wanted to enter the hero garden, id tap Gardens, another menu would come up, hosting all unlocked gardens. id would then tap hero garden, and voila! once in the garden, if the glove idea is better, you would simply tap a choa to select, drag from items to chao's to give, and swipe in any direction to move. if swiping wouldnt work, the two wheels scheme from apps such as idracula would work. the left would be to move, and the right would be to pan the camera to the left/right, same would go if characters are selected. once a chao is selected, a close up of the chao would appear, the stats of that chao to the left, and a side-bar type menu would come up on the right, with actions such as pet, scold(equivilent to throwing), or pick up. once picked up, the chao would be able to be taken to the arena for some competitons to earn rings. during races and karate, there would be a singl ebutton in a corner to "cheer on" your chao(use stamina) Now that my fingers hurt, any comments, complaints, ideas, or encouragement? id love to hear your guys's opinions on the idea.
I don't like Sonic. Sorry, but I don't think that SEGA is capable of doing games right. Mario pwns Sonic and always has. Always will.
Let's see. Fat, little, overall wearing Italian plumber with an unfashionable mustache that travels down pipes always going after a princess that's way out of his league attempting to win her heart by jumping on a mutant tortoise VS... A speedy, dimension traveling hedgehog that can easily run way past the speed of sound, battling ginormous and sick-looking robots, dashing from continent to continent searching for energy filled chaos emeralds that turn him into a semi-god when all are connected. Did I mention his friend has the coolest airplane ever to fly the skies? No contest hear, the fat, little, Italian plumber wins.
Good idea but your never gonna get anywhere until you contact sega. And what happens when the story is over? How do you earn flash drives? Maybe through chao race or karate. Maybe even some other kinds of mini games.
Cough Cough* Mario? You mean the guy who saves that fat princess from a muchroom? Yes, cough cough, he is uummm, good. LOL.
