    Hi all,

You probably know us from our popular puzzle game Fuzzle. Now we are here to show you our upcoming music app Melodica!
We are very excited to show you the first Melodica video trailer:

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wVZMaXMNz-0

Melodica is a revolutionary music application that mixes lights and sounds in a unique way, allowing anyone to compose music intuitively, creating amazing visual effects.
With Melodica everyone can make music, and when we say everyone, we mean it! We believe that simplicity is beautiful, and you will too as soon as you start to play with Melodica!

    How to play:

Plug the headphones to your device, and start touching the boxes, make music!
Yes it is just that simple!
Shake your device to reset your composition.

Melodica is inspired on the Tenori-on and on Tone Matrix made by Andre Michelle.
Try the amazing Tone Matrix at: http://tinyurl.com/tonematrix to really hear what Melodica is about!

We will be waiting for feedback.

    All the best,
    CandyCane team

PS - We will be giving away free promo codes for Melodica and Fuzzle in the upcoming days to our twitter community. Follow us on:

Oh I can't wait! I can sit around composing beats all day long.

Will there be a way to share a finished composition?

    Hi,

I am a doctorate student in music performance, so I am always interested in new music apps.

Is it possible to record and export? It would be very sweet to be able to export to beatmaker.

I have tried the flash version and it is very nice. I am going to be waiting for this app.

On a Mac I just record into Garageband .... export as wav ... then drop into beatmaker folder to upload with beatpack.

  9. This is really wonderful. I love these generative music apps. Will there be the ability to change the sound of the musical notes?

i was hoping for something at least tangentially related to an actual melodica.

Will you be able to add your own samples? That would really make this app amazing. I bet that would make people pick this over BeatMaker even.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the great feedback!

Melodica will be priced at an introductory price of USD0.99, which will have a discount of 66% of the original price we planned for it. (2.99)

In this first version you still can not add your own sounds, save it or export it. But we are already working on the update that will allow you to save your melodies, export them so that you can use it as ringtone, and share it with all the other melodica users in the world.

    Best regards,
    CandyCane team

I just want to make sure that I understand. Exporting in Wave file is going to be posible in a future update. We'll be able to add our own samples. Am I right?

    I am interested:)

Exporting will be possible in the future. adding your own sounds is something that isnt in the roadmap currently.

The export function will be great when you update but in the meantime it seems that you could just plug into garageband and record from the iPhone then export as WAV.

So do I understand correctly that this app has been submitted to Apple and we're just waiting for the approval? Hope so .... it's always so hard waiting for awesome apps like this.

Noticed that "Tone Matrix" was released in the app store about 4 hours ago. This looks exactly like Melodica. Seems there's going to be some competition. Can't help but wonder what will make one better than the other. I've been waiting on Melodica but may have to go for "Tone Matrix" unless there's something better about Melodica. And then I wonder if the iTunes Store will even approve Melodica since it looks like the exact same thing.

Oh my goodness, that app looks sweet! I loved your guys's game Fuzzle and I'm sure this one will also be wonderful. Have no clue how I'm gonna learn all those notes or whatever they are but the demo looks amazing.
