Haha i knew you would have something cheeky to say to that. the devs at A4E should put you on the payroll. We all know A4E is a great game but it doesn't spell death to all others in its genre. We can still discuss this one. Anyone else think this game has a saving grace?
no i don't think so, its not the dev fault but the length of a long update approval is slowly killing it lets hope im wrong though really enjoyed this game(especially the controls) even though it lacks basically everything right now
the only reason pocket god made it big was that when they start you could get a update out every week
I think it has a chance. Apple just needs to hurry up and approve the updates. And even if that doesn't work then it doesn't really matter. I like the game and I can't wait for Hardgore. Pocket God was fun for the first few updates. I don't see how people are still so hooked to it. No offense to the devs of it at all. I loved it. But it was just a phase and they knew it would be. I envy them for what they did though and will be sure to give a good look at anything they come out with in the future.
OK well here is the deal with the minigore updates: this one is in submission, and the next one isnt even done yet! So who cares if the update came out 3 weeks ago, you would still have to wait, and wait, and wait until the next update comes out. It doesnt matter that Apple is taking so long if they havent even finished the next update, its not like they have 3 updates done waiting for it to go in process Pocket God became successful in the charts after what, 10 updates?
Uhhh... that just means it's a long phase.. lol. There is no way on earth that Pocket God will be popular forever. Especially if Apple keeps this up with the long approval processes.
I bought a4e yesterday, and I got bored of it today already. For some reason I didn't like it as much. Althought it's not a bad game at all, but minigore is my fav game, even though there ain't alot to do.
There is definitely something to say about the simplicity of minigore. I bought A4E also and although i have not tired of it yet i don't see myself playing it forever. To be honest the games i play the most often are the really simple ones because i can do it really quickly and for short amounts of time. While i like A4E's level of customization i also enjoy the simplicity of being able to just hop into a game. I think they both offer different aspects and that's why they are both great tittles to own.
Minigore dev diary Oh no!! What's happening to our dear John Gore?! Anyone got an idea what's going on here? SoCal_Sponger: It can be a bit misleading that we call them numbered episodes. Practically what happens on the development side is that we have a long feature list and we complete those features one by one, some features take longer to do than others. As long as one "Episode" is in submission we keep chipping away at the feature list. Only time when we can't submit right away is when we're in the middle of doing a big feature, in that case we have two options: A) Complete the feature, send the build to beta testers and then submit for approval. (This is the slow option. Slowness depends on the size of the feature.) B) Take the unfinished feature out, send the build to beta testers and submit for approval. (This is the fast option, regardless of the feature size.) While Minigore isn't at the top of the charts in the US it's still in top 50 paid apps in 25 countries. You don't have to worry about us, Minigore is doing pretty damn well and have lots of resources to work on the content even if sizzlakalonji would like things to be otherwise Speaking of content I just finished all the artwork for snow level: The snow level has several pools of water that affect player & enemy movement - desert level has the river that was suggested to us by a fan. While playing Fat Princess I had the idea that maybe it would be cool if you could shoot the trees and bushes and then they slowly grow back, what do you think? Cheers, Timo
OMG Snow level looks awesome. Oh and is John fat because instead of shooting the furries he ate them?
Snow level looks great!!! I love the trees and bushes idea! and the water effect sounds great too! I am very curious about John and his weight issue in that pic too. Is it inspired by Fat Princess by any chance?
I do. Apparently John Gore got tired of killing Furries, so he decided to kill cupcakes instead... with his MOUTH. Eventually John Gore got too fat and decided to kill Furries again, but now he has a new weapon, the CUPCAKE. When he throws it at a Furry, the Furry instantly becomes 10 times it's original size and it slows down. If you throw enough cupcakes at it, it explodes and kills everything around it. Just a thought.
