Yes, yes they are. I believe most people with an IQ of 70 or above can tell. And even retards can tell something ain't right amidst the pretty colors.
I wasn't crazy about the first batch of Star Wars films either. All that fantasy nerd stuff means fairly little to regular human beings. LOTR goes with it, as does Twilight... the nerd film for teenage girls.
Aww, it looked hilarious! I've noticed though that whether or not people like a comedy is based a lot on their mood and how awake they are.
Well of course I'd think it was funnier if it was like 3am =P It was just one of those movies where a normal guy meets a complete idiot, the idiot f*cks up his life, he tells him he wishes he'd never met him, *cue sad music*, idiot makes up for it by doing something right for once, and they lived happily ever after.
Empire Strikes Back original version was the best! No special CGI, or stupid end sequences, just straight swamp, and spaceship sets, saber fights, and conflict.
I didnt mind the original star wars because I look at them as a separate set of films. And why did ye hate the phantom menace?? That was good. I liked that its story was smaller and simpler. It just led on to the bigger picture.
I think ESB is generally regarded as the 'best' one, and personally I think it was the best one too. At comic-con recently I went to a talk with the people who played the Imperials in the classic trilogy, and the first question to be asked was "So what do you think of the latest trilogy?" They all said it was rubbish and everyone applauded them . I think episode one was alright, the others maybe not so much. Personally I'd be interested to see something regarding what happened after episode 6, I've read a good few books on the post-trilogy era, a lot of it is actually pretty good, such as (spoilers) the business with Admiral Thrawn, Luke's romance with Jade, Leia becoming a Jedi, Leia and Han's children, Chewbacca and Anakin Solo's (Leia and Han's child) death in the Yuuzhan Vong war, Jacen Solo becoming a Sith, etc. I think the whole Clone Wars thing is getting a little overdone now, if they were to keep going with the Star Wars franchise, I think they should go forwards now, not backwards.
I read it earlier, hit the "quote" button, then decided, "I really have no smartass comments to describe that post," and promptly hit "back".
