I think there's a chance Pirates 4 could work, but at the same time it's likely to flop in the box office. They said they want to tone down all the crazy action and epic set pieces and really concentrate on some character stuff... I'm all for the idea of delving deeper into Jack Sparrow's mind and past, but without the action your regular cinema-goer is likely to be disappointed.
This probably sounds cheesy, but... I really enjoyed the How To Train Your Dragon OST. I thought John Powell did a really great job with all the songs. A couple of my favorites, for example: [hqyoutube]6CJ96LGGP6w[/hqyoutube] [hqyoutube]QW8xTbvblFk[/hqyoutube] [hqyoutube]L4o5-f6dGAg[/hqyoutube] [hqyoutube]6IBlQj2U5kU[/hqyoutube] Interestingly enough, in the film, these sections of the OST actually happen in this order, one after the other.
Gremlins - wow its been a long time. Thanks This is my other favourite - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OkX_LCr06CI&feature=related
Best musical score? Will I get flamed if I say I particularly enjoyed Steve Jablonsky's score in the Transformers movies?
this is my favourite trailer ever - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Rd6VlYgvDqo&feature=related Note: The movie is not nearly as quick paced as its trailer, and is a movie that cannot be taken lightly. It is simply not weird, but more unsettling and at times almost unbearable to watch. The pace is very slow - you'll almost feel as if you have endured 4-5 hours in the time the movie takes place. I have watched it 3 times over the last half decade - every time I enjoy it, but it really is quite a meal. I simply cannot recommend this movie unless you enjoy bent weird movies that play games with your mind. But the trailer is wicked.
When I watched the first one, I think I heard a piece that was the exact same as one they used in Wolverine: Origins. Did he compose for both movies? Also, some of my favourites from Hans Zimmer:
I have the main song on my ipod. its a really great piece of music. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FA6Go9EcGXA thats it. I really like it. Also I thought of another one. The national treasure music is really good. <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GVjC0GZjsOo and that is septimus from stardust. Everyone should have a listen.
Mark Vaughan (stardust, Kick-ass) has to now rewrite part of x-men first class after watching inception. He realised some of his movies were really similar to it and knew hed be called for copying. Thats really harsh.
