N.O.V.A and a few other gmaeloft games are supose to come out before christmas, so until it does, you guess is as good as ours. personally i dont want to worry about it too much because i dont want to get to excited and the game will bomb and there goes all the hype

Dang this game looks incredible. The graphics are (sadly seeing as I own one) probably better than Wii's. lol.
Vote for play dough on QuitIt! Contest! link is in sig.

I hope the storyline will be better than Modern Combat's.

+1 to that. The graphics alone have me sold. I hope it has longer gameplay.

I read that gameloft is releasing the 1st INSTALLMENT of NOVA. Does this mean that there will be more than the 10 levels coming out at a later date after the basic release? Anyone hear this as well?

I bet it means the campaign version comes out first and then the multiplayer.

No, it didn't sound like that. They said that Campaign and multi player out first then extra levels later. I wonder if it will be downloadable content or simply an update. Seems a game so packed with good graphics would want to charge more then 7 bucks. Buut gameloft hasn't done DLC yet so idk.

thats what MC:S did - and it makes sense if they did that too. Put out single player first, while finish testing the multiplayer. They get more mileage out of the game sales that way. It should go to the top regardless if it has multiplayer in it first - from the hype build up. Then when it starts to dip a little bit, hit everyone with the multiplayer and drop the price to 4.99 - and then do a lite version at the same time. Thats the way Gameloft works, if everyone hadn't noticed.
6.99 initial game - for about a month. Then drop the price to 4.99 and do a lite version. They did this with Asphalt 5, Dungeon Hunter, and MC:S. Unless -
and this is a crazy thought - they go free like Eliminate. I doubt they will do that though.

yeah i am having doubts too about the inclusion of multiplayer in the initial release. more likely they will follow up like MC:S

I think that they will include it in the initial release.

That would be nice. I was thinking about that. Free for multiplayer and DLC single mission pack for $6.99. It's a win-win for everyone I think..

EDIT: Eliminate should do this- single player mission pack. And then I will consider it to the best game ever :D

just putting this out there I just saw an app on the app store called Camera Zoom 2 which implements the volume button as a shutter button. I know some people have been aware of this before but now that an app is actually using this maybe gameloft will incorporate this into NOVA

man i hope NOVA doesnt do this. If devs use DLC's they usually think this justifies a high price and a small amount of content in the initial download. Although more content becomes available the end result is the customers getting ripped off, some examples where this has already occured C&C and CoD:Zombies.

probably not because Gameloft always makes games compatible to ALL generations of iphone and ipod touch and since the 1st gen iTouch doesn't have those then it is unlikely.

Words don't describe my hate for DLC. Ugh, just have us pay for the game and have the dignity to do free updates. Keep the customer happy the old fashion way. Although, it does make piracy very difficult.

Ace combat, c&c, lumines , cod zombies , tp: dogs are just examples of what dlc brings into the table. Content that are supposed to be included in the overall package are now being cut down for more money, just look at ace combat.

Wha...? That's weird, it's suppose to be a dedicated volume rocker.

I know many would disagree, but I am willing to pay extra for a FULL game that may have good updates coming up as opposed to picking and choosing levels and this and that. Itis another way many devs have found to basically cheat the system and get customers to pay more without thinking about it. Looking back at my Eliminate bills I have spend around 18-20 bucks on that game which pisses me off when gameloft is trying to perfect their FREE online multiplayer for a $7 game. It would be okay if Eliminate had one pay a monthly charge like xbox live.
