Wii was launched in Nov. Primed just in time for the holidays... 3Ds was launched march. You can't exactly compare the launches as they were released in totally different quarters of the year...
The games aren't better for me. I don't care about 99.9% of the Japanese Games. The only 3DS game I'd buy is MGS. But even that will have bad graphics, bad controls and a high price tag, so I'll stick to my iPhone 4. Enjoy your 3DS though (if you have one).
So far I am totally! I'm enjoying the 3 games I got but really excited for Zelda and MGS, but I don't know why you think the controls will be bad, so far everything I've played the controls have been anything but short of fantastic!
That's just me, and I'm sure I'm in the minority here. I don't like physical controls on handhelds. For simple games like 2D RPGs, Platformers, Arcade Games etc, they work well. But when there's just a single analog stick and face buttons, I have great difficulty controlling any 3D game that involves movement and looking/aiming. For example with the PSP, TPS/FPS games are unplayable for me because I can't aim with 4 buttons. With the touchscreen however you can hold your right thumb on the screen and move it around through 360 degrees and to different amounts. So in other words you have full control of which direction you want to aim, and also how quickly you want to aim. The same applies for movement. I like the PS3 controller, the twin analog sticks are good. But the PSP didn't feel anywhere near as good. The NGP looks like it could have good controls, although I'm still skeptical about the twin analog sticks. If they're like the single nub on the PSP then I won't like that either. I guess I'm just fussy about controls
Thats kind of the point, Capcom wont pour loads of time and effort into a game that will sell for a couple of pounds but they will do as much as they can with the tech if the game sells for 30 or 40 pounds
Yeah, that's one of the downsides of the App Store. The pricing is too low. We might not have Capcom's full attention, but at least we have plenty of other developers making great games.
Ok, I went to one of my gameplay videos and took a screenshot: This is obviously NOT half the screen that I am covering with my fingers. I don't know how you're playing your games, but YOU ARE OBVIOUSLY HOLDING IT WRONG.
Cute how you are here, specially when you are so "disinterested" on the 3DS. But looks like you are still wearing your rose tinted glasses that don't allow you to see reality if you think MGS has bad graphics, which I already proved to you -- and you couldn't counter-argue-- that it destroys whatever you think looks good on your favorite iOS game. Cute indeed. Now, please, move along. Spending your time arguing about something that you already (lol) decided it's not for you just makes you look like a really ignorant butthurt person.
You proved nothing. I didn't bother to counter your argument, because quite frankly you had no point. Graphics can be subjective, but it should be clear to you that a game on a 400 x 240 pixel screen isn't going to look as nice as a game on a 960 x 640 screen with just as much, if not more power. Of course MGS will probably be a great game on the 3DS, but the graphics just look bad compared to so many iOS games. If you still think that MGS on the 3DS looks better than any iOS game then you definitely need an eye test. Seeing as this "arguement" obviously isn't going to go anywhere, I'll stop here. I don't want to ruin this thread for the others.
Same thing again, you fail to backup your argument. Do you really think that you can get away just by posting images and mindless babbling about screen resolution? But yeah, like I once said, you clearly have a totally different definition of the word "good", since you have made many godawful statements like "FPS's on iOS play as good as a mouse" and "Shadow Guardian looks better than MGS: Snake Eater", so yeah, no point in arguing. And thank you for acknowledging that you are doing nothing but derailing the thread. If you have already decided that this product is not for you (again, lol), it would be wise to, you know, stop posting so much on threads dedicated to that product.
I like ios games because i always have my iphone on me so great as a pick up and play device But then my ds.... Is 3D!!!! So pwns ios games So stop all ur moaning - cos the ppl here who says it rubbish obviously cant afford one Oh and just got Ghost Recon tonight and its definately a must have game!! And for MGS being rubbish graphics?? Oh... I forget your comparing it to the HD ps3 version? Hmmmm ok then And if your comparing it to ios games-which games are they? Cos gameloft graphics are pants lol Edit-think itll be 3ds users only in here now lol
Back to topic, a Resident Evil: Revelations demo will be included in Mercenaries 3D. Hopefully that means that a 2011 release date is likely for that game. And here's the boxart:
So far between pilot wings, street fighter and soccer I haven't ever gotten a gaming experience from iOS games like I do on the 3Ds... Yes iPhone gaming rocks or else I wouldn't have been here so damn long. But you can't compare the two really, they both have totally different goals when it comes to gaming. iOS while it has some really good A class titles, the controls is where the iPhone is lacking, and until you get some kind of physical buttons you can't really compare the them... BTW I have the codes for SF to unlock lvl 7 figures for spotpass if anyone wants them!
Really hitting the bottom of the barrel when the only point you can make for people not buying one is not being able to afford one. Remember what kind of forum this thread is on - of course there will be some people that simply don't want one. Now I DID buy one and I AM enjoying it. So far I have only been playing Rayman and it is a very enjoyable experience. Love the new controls and love the graphics. But of course I have had a Nintendo handheld since well, the original big fat black and white pixelated Game Boy that certainly didn't fit in any pocket. People are going to have different likes and dislikes and decide to spend their money on different things. All of it is subjective and I can't see any of us shoving our good opinion of a Nintendo handheld down the throat of anyone on an iOS forum unless they are open to hearing about it.
Wasnt saying it to the ppl who cant buy one-was aiming it to the haters saying its rubbish but moving on-everyones entitled to their own opinion.... Whered you get the codes from? Loving online with street fighter it was a shame it was only decent online game at release-roll on for zelda and resi games
Just google sf 3ds password You'll find them but they are a pain to put in lol. Yea I havent tried the mp out yet, but I did create a streetpass team, unfortunately been out all day and didnt connect to one single user. But then again I pretty much expected that.
Good to hear you're enjoying it. Most of the impressions here seem very positive. As you said, people have different preferences. The last Nintendo device I truly liked was my Gameboy Colour (which I still have). I've never been a fan of the DS though. Maybe I'll go back to Nintendo in the future, but for now Sony and Apple can satisfy my gaming needs.
My friend one let my try his out, and all I have to say is 'woah, trippy'. This thing is awesome. I'm gonna get me one sooner or later.
