Ah, going to Best Buy soon. It's been a long time since I spent more than $20 on a game, heheh. Pokemon Black and the 3DS were gifts xD.
I picked it up right now. I was having trouble getting the soudtrack and others on nintendo support forums have the issue too so I just called nintendo and they said I would be getting one. So now, on to the game! EDIT: I gotta take a break from playing but I just played 6 hours straight and the 3D is getting to me I think. (after all, this is my first 3ds game...I guess I just need to get used to it) I just played from beginning to Kakariko on full 3D. Anyone else impressed by the graphics? I watched videos of this game but they don't do it justice. The back alley in Hyrule Castle Market especially looks very good haha. It kinda reminds me of back alleys of a French town.
Because those are your only options . Back on topic, playing OoT I've finally stopped regretting buying a 3DS. This is exactly the kind of game I want to play on the device. That said, I've been trying to play it on 3D but I find myself constantly going off-alignment, especially in combat, which is very unpleasant. I just about to give up on the whole 3D thing, even though I think the game handles the effect well. Still, it's a beautiful and deeply entertaing game.
The 3D field of vision in Zelda is more narrow then in any other game I've played thus far, and I now own 7 3DS games. Turn off the motion controls to increase the field. Don't hold the game too close to your eyes. Some people cannot process the 3D effect properly. And for some, long term exposure causes eye fatigue. As far as the casual nature of iOS gaming, just look at the Touch Arcade main page as I type this. 1-bit Ninja, TITUS, DaWindci, Toast the Chicken, D-Capitatrix, A Long Way Home, Flick Golf Extreme, Mower Ride. Those are the games currently featured. 8 casual games. Serious iOS gaming has died. It is virtually extinct. Nobody makes dedicated, hardcore iOS games anymore outside of Gameloft and EA. I guess to a lesser extent, Capcom. There are only a very small handful of companies though. Anyone who would argue otherwise is a blinded fanboy. Make extremely cheap games. Sell said games as cheaply as possible. Profit. That is the only viable iOS marketing strategy for the indie dev communitity. Aralon and Mission Europa have proven that to adopt any other strategy is fail. Major Companies don't have to follow this model, obviously. So I don't want to hear about Chair or whatever. I'm talking strickly indie. In the end, 90 percent of iOS games come from the indie scene. I've spent much more time recently with my PSP, now that virtually all PSP games cost $20 or less. Zelda, Lego Pirates and Splinter Cell 3D are all solid efforts for the 3DS though.
Hey everyone, just wanted to post my friend code, feel free to add me, I've added most of the codes that were posted earlier in the thread. 5026 4537 2422

Got a blue 3DS as a gift yesterday: yes!!! And I'm simply floored at how beautiful Ocarina 3D is! Feel free to add me; friend code is in my sig but I'll type it again here: 3394-3665-7799. Totally would like to have some touchArcaders on my 3DS friends list =D
The iPhone 4's retina is much more detailed, while you still get somewhat of a grainy picture quality for the 3DS. The 3D does make up for it though. I guess you can say that the graphics are similar to the Gamecube.
Actually devolpers aren't using it to its full potential... appearently it can run better graphics than the wii.. well thats what my bro told me
