i've seen a bunch of graphing calculator apps for the Ipod but im really surprised at this. Can there really be basically everything you need in a 100+ dollar calculator in a much cheaper even .99 cent app? What's the catch?
WHY BUY A 150 DOLLAR GRAPHING CALCULATOR WHEN YOU CAN GET AN IPOD AND GET THE .99 CENT APP?!?!?! lol

I highly doubt an app can be as sophisticated as a full fledged graphing calculator. It might do some things, but it won't be able to do everything. Looking at http://www.iphone-calc.com/wp/?page_id=98 there is no mention of doing derivatives or integrals. Also, Apple's SDK restrictions prevent you from executing your own code, so you cannot have a custom program within your calc app.

Also, good luck convincing any teacher/professor to let you use your iPod during an open-calculator test.
