There is actually a good chance it will be 0.99, but my guess is that it's 2.99. It's a different business model with the way they are implementing DLC. The price will be low. As for the release date: Jas in the previous thread discovered a goldmine. Hidden in the website's resource code: "October 2009: Prepare for launch".
Quoting this post to archive for future generations in the event that Eliminate is launched at 99¢. I agree with you guys, I think the game will be priced on the cheap because having a vibrant and active online community is vital to the game's success. I think I posted something extremely similar in the other thread, but if the game launches at $10, and not many people buy it, the things those people are going to be saying likely isn't going to inspire many other people to take the plunge. But, who knows! Stranger things have happened.
I think it will be 1,99/2,99. They need a loth of ppl play this game, but they also need to get money from sales. I think the price we pay for it is a break-even price point and the DLC is there profit.
It will be the first app to break out of the $x.99 pricing model. Calling $3.72 for Eliminate's release price.

I don't know about you guys (I see you've reached 13 pages of discussion so I reckon you know a lot more than I do), but this game is kind of confusing for me - or at least, thanks to the last article it seems less confusing but it's still "WTF" for me. in my opinion.. ngmoco is either gonna do something revolutionary (judging by the info TouchArcade is providing us here and there) or it's gonna flop because users won't like this paying stuff too much. I will buy the game because I wanna witness the hype of course.
did mgmoco recently update the title of this thread to say Coming Soon? p.s. after the recent find of "Coming Soon - Oct 2009" from a forum member, I did some HTML/media digging of my own and found some pretty interesting tidbits. Online player stats, anybody?
Yeah, I'm pretty sure that the main focus of this game is Multiplayer, with a Practice mode as well. I don't think there's going to be any single player mode.
Yeah, please do! Just saw moshow 7pt3, and I'm getting pretty excited! This game's going to be awesome regardless of what some people think. This game's going to be released right the start of a 2-week school holiday for me, so I'll have plenty of time to play it then.

I was the forum member who did the tibit things , go to this link http://eliminate.ngmoco.com/ Then hover your mouse over "Status, Initizaling terminals Final Systems Check" It will say October 2009 =)
