So if Parental control is added for apps does this mean Apple will allow apps with a more adult theme or rating?
It means that there's a high demand for adult themed apps. I mean, if you need parental control... Wonder how they'd enforce it, though...
They'd probably assign each app a rating, similar to the ESRB rating, then have a new feature in settings where parents could turn off and on which ratings their kids were aloud to play, and if they tried to download or play a game that had a higher rating than aloud, access would be denied,
I guess since my kids use my iPhone it means something totally different to me. My issue is that my 2 year old often pokes around and finds a way to ruin any progress that I have completed in a game. The other day I was at like level 24 in WordWorth (timed mode) and that took me like a week to get that far playing only a few minutes here and there. After she used it I found WordWorth was open and the time had run out... she killed my game! So, to me parental control means my kids can't open my apps and ruin my game progress! Now that is a feature I'd pay for!!!
Jailbreaking plus the Lockdown app from Cydia solves that. It won't be like that though. It's going to be requiring a parent set passcode to look at and buy the application.
