Everything in the description is true, so it's not a scam. Perhaps because this one is much more affordable, specially for young teens who have limited iTunes budget (0.99$ vs 6,99$). Wasn't meant to look like one. "GTA-like" is a sub-category of games (search on Wikipedia), it doesn't mean "like GTA". If you like GTA then you'll probably like GTA clones. I love R-Type but i'll still play other horizontal scrolling shoot em ups In this case seeing the video intro (and other issues) puts me off totally
Ok well the problem is that I am French myself and those voices (in the trailer) are absolutely awful, I know you guys are EA or Gameloft but those voices are bad, it sounds like you did it with your mobile in the middle of L'Ardèche where there's no network.
Set people straight? There was no problem. I for one never said anything about the game. I even asked for gameplay. All my posts were somewhat questions and NOTHING that has been said here should not have been said. The truth hurts. 1. Fake post 2. Misleading title that obviously takes it name from a popular Gameloft franchise. That alone is shameful, need I say more?
Just let it go his a dev making his way up its just a title for the game if gameloft thinks its just using part of its name to get people over then they will do something if not then that means they were ok with it... Havent played the game yet but still the dev of this gane deserved his credit as he did help built a game. More experience on the devs n later on they release something good that you will want you never know. On another note you guys should add a lite version i want to try it out
I normally would moan a bit if a dev tries to copy/use a similar name to an exisiting franchise but come on, its Gameloft and they have a history of doing something similar ! Their Gangstar series is obviously their take on GTA, so surely they should get some stick for copying that formula ? Heres an indie team creating their own GTA style game, dont see the issue. In the past we've had people create their own GTA style game, most havent been that great but they've been fun to try at times. I remember playing a game in the 80's called Turbo Esprit which featured a 'living' city you drove about doing missions to stop drug gangs etc. I'm sure Rockstar might have been influenced by that (Specially as theyre from the UK as well). I dont think its a GTA clone, its just a game influenced from GTA/Gangstar/Turbo Esprit. Dont think thats too bad
Hi guys, Again I'm on of the developers. Ok so we posted a new update modifying the name, some screenshots, and adding a launch trailer on the App page. Unfortunately Apple review takes one week but thank you for your feedbacks. Sorry for that we thought it would be more realistic with french voices. We put lots of effort into trying to create a parisian atmosphere, and you can recognize on the screenshots buildings like the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe, the Opéra, the Madeleine, the Louvre and more. Yes we actually are quite a small company and we have already put much in the game so paying for ads is now difficult for us. Since Gameloft doesn't develop Gangstars anymore, we didn't think it would be such an issue to call it like this. Thank you for this tip we had the idea but then thought that publishing "Lite versions" on the App Store was old-fashioned. But if you ask sure we'll try ! you prefer map or gameplay restrictions ? Thank you for this comment and again sorry for that. We didn't try to copy, just the name is quite similar. We just wanted to develop a more affordable GTA-like on mobile It works fine it's just that you haven't got enough money you need to pick the banknote bundle (behind the store). BTW it's just the tutorial.
Since when did Gameloft stop making Gangstar games? In fact they are currently teasing an expansion for the latest one where you go to hell, which is an obvious steal from another franchise.
Im downloading now. For only $0.99 I'll take a chance. Don't now why there's so much hate towards this game though.
There is no hate! There is no innocence either! Although I heard the name was to be changed, we will see.
I have to say aside from the (very) low resolution textures, the game doesn't look THAT bad. Like a nice game just to fudge around with. Maybe the developer could amp up those graphics a bit & I'll buy.
People are getting too spoiled with high standard graphics etc.. The game is only $0.99 , give the Dev a Break.. If it was a different game and with 8-bit graphics for $0.99 then everyone is all exited about it.. Now there is a "high" quality game compared to the 1000's of the old style graphics game, and then people are tearing the whole game apart. $0.99 vs a cup of coffee or a soda, or a burger... what's the difference.. Just my $0.02 cents.. I just bought it, just to support the Dev(s)
