It may be very laggy on your iDevice, there are some game modes missing and maybe you have to buy additional content per download.
You get more publicity being at the top of the best sellers list, so more people know about your game and it sells for longer. You also have three times as many people that can later buy downloadable content.
Look through the devs forums, they already know that an app, which is priced higher, can bring more profit - sometimes. I'll post the thread when I've found it. Just found it: http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=37003 And btw. - PvZ is well-known already. They could have taken any price. They don't need visibility anymore...
Could you give me actual words please instead of "u", "y", "plz" and "cus"? If you really don't know/understand what is good about this game, check out the free demo available on Popcap's site. That ought to give you a good impression of what all the fuss is about.
This is a review of the computer game, not the iPhone game, but it will give you the idea. Watch from about 2:00 to 11:00, they go into a lot of detail
ahh thanks, at least u gave me a decent answer, btw i use "short" language such as "u" because i really cba to type the full words :L
ok, ok i am sorry for using short language, and you are right, this is a forum, and it is a thread about plants vs zombies, so tell me my frend why you are arguing about the way how i type??? hmmmmm.....
I explained why selling three times as many at a third of the price is CLEARLY better for PopCap, which was your original question. Now if you think they would sell half as many at $8.99 as at $2.99, you are entitled to your opinion, but PopCap obviously disagrees, and it's hard to argue with their current sales. And EVERY company needs publicity. Maybe it's hard to believe on Touch Arcade, but the vast majority of iPhone/Touch owners have never heard of PopCap or Plants vs. Zombies, and being on the best seller lists is a great way to get their attention. That's an interesting thread you posted, but it doesn’t really support your argument. It is mostly saying that developers wished that prices were higher, the one experiment with raising prices seemed to have revenue remaining the same (page 4 update) while ranking dropped (bad long term). and other devs who tried raising prices lost revenue.
Because it is disrepectful. To members not knowing your slang, to foreign people and first and foremost: to everyone because it is an insult to both our eyes and our kind of behaviour.
cause it's better for all to see messages write in the good way ...and some people on this forum are a little too severe i think eheh but just think if all will use your kind of language apart from this.,try the lite on the popcap site..see the video of the review on TA and i think that this will give you a good idea about the game
I have to agree...I had never heard of PopCap Games, Peggle or Plants vs Zombies until I saw they were coming out for the iPhone.
Yes, I don't refuse everything you said completely; I think your are right in some ways, but take a look at the PC/Mac version sales and all the sites with the online version for PvZ. Plants versus Zombies is known to a huge bunch of people. It dows not need the visibility which other games are in need of.
