Thank you to Ella for the Igneous and Snappy for the Pictoris.

I finally finished the Trivium breed, and in doing so raised my level to 42 with exactly the last bred Trivium frog needed. Good timing I guess. Thanks to all that helped.

Now onto the Calvaria breed. If anyone has any Calvaria that they don't need (other than White), I will be glad to take them off of your hands. :) Of course it will not go unrewarded, as I will send a frog(s) back of your choosing (past Trivium).

Yep, got the two Fractus but a messy brawl broke out in the MB between the two; it was chaos, mayhem, I tell you! Oh, the din, the noise, unbridled fisticuffs, a full-blown Fractus, if you will. Hate to break it to you, Martin, but they are currently in bad shape &, sadly, like their predecessor, they are no longer in one peace. :(

p.s.: Thanks to Snappy for the Fortuno, & Martin for the two fractious Fractus & a well-behaved Pistrix.

I was taming a frog when got a gift of (I think) a Cocos Levar. I sold it -thinking it was a pond present- before I could see who sent it.
I'd like to know who sent it. Thanks.

I am a hoarder. For example, in Dragonvale I set my myself a goal of collecting 1000 gems - I now have over 1700. I do use them, just not as much as I could.

Re stamps and potions I have about 1900 and 2500 respectively, and that's purely from the pond, reward frogs and weekly sets. I just wish I could do as well with my bank balance :(

There will be more partiri's coming today, and some pictoris. Need to empty out the mailbox and habitats ready for this afternoons set :) Plus Pixel People got a huge update yesterday so I'm playing that a lot today too. trying not to rush through everything though!

Time to go shopping for food to last through easter, have a great day everyone!

Ha, I'm so glad you 'fessed about the stamp/potion hoarding, Dlstar, you make me feel better.

I will admit when I first started playing I bought some stamps and potions. I do use them as I occasionally "push" stuff through my mailbox and obviously to gift. Every now and then when I really want to get a 'dexed color grown I'll potion them just to get them hoppable. I've not bought stamps or potions since as I seem to collect an awful lot in the pond. Hopping everything seems to generate a fair amount.

Plus after "S" confessed to spending money on Dark Summoner (like a nice steak dinner out amount of money) I'd lose my superior stance of my gaming habits are cheaper than his if I spent anymore on PF.

Anyway, I've hoarded to the point that I'm 5100/4436 as of this evening. I wish I could gift them because 25 stamps is a lot more useful than a frog sometimes.

You make my hoarding look positively dismal ;)

I've not yet opened PF this afternoon to do any taming or gifting. Instead I've been shopping, hung out my washing and cooked dinner. It's now a quarter past 2 in the afternoon. Soon I'll have to go collect the offspring from school (and then it's holidays WOOHOO :D:D) and then go to work for a few hours.

Better go bludge on the couch for a few minutes whilst I can!

Well, I was working on Pluma and Foramen originally, working from top and bottom of the 'v2.0' frogs simultaneously. Then we got a Quilta set a few weeks back, and I got such a variety through my MB that my double became a triple. THEN Dean sent a really useful group of Symphonia, so handy that I decided to hang on to them, and I've been working through the four breeds in all the colours I had the Symphonias for. So that means when I finish the frogs in my triple, I'll have only about half the Symphonias to do as well.

I've only completed violet and yellow so far - the yellows you sent were a huge help! - and I'm working on Emerald now. Anything else would be useful.

Re potions and stamps, I *love* potion taming, so right now I'm maintaining a steady buffer of 3000 potions. I don't like it to go below that, but the count got to about 7000 before potion taming came in. Stamps, I'm finding literally faster than I can use them, with a current max per pond present of 23. I have a backlog of just on 12000, and it's not like I'm even trying to hoard them anymore. I only do potion rewards these days... :p

3000 poitions and 12000 stamps! Holy Cow! The most I ever had was 1500/1500. My buffer is around 100. I agree with you about the stamps. They seem to be more easier to find and most of the time don't need them. I too have come to only do potion/coin rewards. They loose more of their value when you buy the express mailbox.

Hoarding isn't a dirty word any more than patience is a dirty word ; both imply the willingness to deny immediate gratification (hardest, I imagine, for the intense hardcore gamer). Buying stamps & potions isn't necessarily the lazy/impatient person's way either for someone who gets enormous pleasure out of the game & would rather spend money on playing than a night at the movies. Nobody should feel guilty about their gaming predilections.

You love "potion taming"? It costs one potion for every 10 flies a frog needs to be tamed (less than a 20 seconds). One potion when they are eggs, cuts 4 hours off their breeding time. A lot more bang for your buck if you use them for speeding up the breeding. As I've said before, I find that feature personally annoying as I'm trying to tame a frog & hit it accidently all the time. You like it. I don't. Guess that's what makes horse races.

Non sequitor: did anyone notice the Golden Picea Flecto was used in a set just three weeks ago!

Another non sequitor: NB's newest game is out. I'm not personally tempted to try it out, is anyone?

p.s.: Many, many thanks to Snappy for the Mustacium, dlstar for the Pictoris, & madmaze for the Nebula.

I agree - except that resources aren't exactly plentiful in our (S and I) world at the moment. And for some folks that we know irresponsible behavior related to the immediate gratification aspect of gaming has been - as a friend put it this weekend, "a poor life choice."

I asked "S" how he managed to get into Dark Summoner for so much money and he explained how the in game purchases were tied very closely to gaming success. Once he'd entered in a card number all he had to do was click for 16.00 or 12.00 or get lots of points for 32.00 as he went along and he'd win whatever little game contest he was on. No receipt via email from Apple reminding us that we spent money. When he got around to balancing the household account and totaled everything up he was suprised. The fact that gaming success was tied so closely to in game purchases seems like a self defeating design to me. He'd actually fail "quests" without purchases. As someone who spends a lot of time on the Xbox killing things (the irony of our game choices does not escape me) failure unrelated to eye-hand coordination frustrated him. So he clicked and spent. Then he clicked and uninstalled the app on his 'droid.

If it cost me that much to play PF and not just exercise the patience option, I'd play something else.

Thanks for frogs! Dlstar for Partiri and JavaRich for sending me a needed Fortuna before I even checked this mornings weekly set.
