I'm easily bored by pond hopping. And I balance it out by only spending 5 potions max per frog. More, or less, and I feel like it's a waste. If I'm not paying attention and miss that window, I just keep hopping. When it works, I cut my flies per frog from 51-93 to 2-44. 2 flies to tame a Pluma is cheaper than an Anura. I still use potions for growing froggies too. I can also find up to 23 potions at a go, which is sufficient to tame 4 frogs and use a few for growing. Each to their own.

Andi ... I also get bored by pond hopping so I have come to a very similar philosophy ... I mainly spend potions on taming if I'm I the middle of a "gifting spree" .... However.... in my game centre list you are number 2 for "flies eaten" at over 1.1 million!!! Whereas incredibly "shortbus" (who seems to have disappeared from this forum) at level 54 had only eaten 80 K ... XXX

I've been on an endless gifting spree since the day I discovered this forum... And I do tame and gift/regift the vast majority of frogs that pass through my habitats - though the 1.1m figure is a surprise, I haven't been paying attention. I'm guessing Dean is #1? Potion taming means no xp for the frog either, but I decided when I was working out my strategy that turnover of frogs was more important. And given that I've chosen to actively dex two level 31 frogs at the moment, potion taming makes a big difference in pond time saved.
