Good morning!!! making the most of the weekend to start off a new dex. All the (lowly) Tribus frogs I had on offer have been converted to coin. Some lucky Lanternas have made their mark on canadian's dex, but others have likewise been cashed in.

Dexxing Glacio & Zebrae over the next two weeks, will definitely have spare frogs to sell or gift if needed/wanted.

MartiNZ, you mentioned you were double dexing. I'm picking my dexing pairs "chronologically" based on the dex. Are you doing the same? Wondering if you or anyone else out there has tips on how to dex more productively (is that even a word )

Heh I never think about doing it more productively, my method just seems like the least effort to me, but any strategy involving Anuras would probably be better return on investment.

I generally just choose the next breed based on which ones I feel like collecting, and then later to fill in gaps in consecutive completes in the dex list. The last few I've done have been just cos, but after these two I'm planning to go back and finish off up the top of the list where I have quite a chain of completes :D.

Keep the MARINUS (blue caelus) because this week's set contains 3 of them. If you need the other high-level frogs (PYRAMIS and AXIS, thanks to Domenic15), let me know.

Anyone, is this the first time that the same frog has been in successive weekly sets? I looked back through my completed sets but didn't find any. But I haven't always completed the sets in true chronological order, having to work my way back through the earlier sets.

    Take care.

    Hello & intro

Hello, I've just started trading frogs and wanted to introduce myself to the comm. I'm on level 20 and a casual player of PF - only one breed at 100% (Anuras, of course). Just haven't settled into an efficient strategy for dexxing yet, despite reading countless descriptions of dexxing strategies.

I was trading primarily on the Facebook page, but the latest update to their app eliminated the ability to see the latest posts, so trading is much harder there now. (Not quite sure why they'd want to take away functions in an update, but developers work in mysterious ways!)

Anyway, I'm still getting a feel for this board so will probably lurk a little more before getting more active, but wanted to shout out a hello first!

I just finished the Earth set (thanks awboj). I have the 3 Marinus needed for this week's set but would need the other 4 if someone finishes with them and can pass them on. I'd be happy to send them back to you after, or breed you anything from level 10 and below that you may want. :)

Also looking for a Geminus in any color still.

I saw a real frog yesterday. We were walking in this pasture next to a wetland and this cute little guy crawled out of a dried crack in the mud. I wanted to take a picture but he hopped away pretty quick. :D

PS. XXXBR I happen to have the frogs from the next set you have if you want any of them let me know.

Welcome! Feel free to come out of the shadows and start trading. I haven't done any trades via Facebook, but I'm sure you get the drift already that this forum is more than just 'give me this' or 'give me that' without so much as thanks or a token gift in return. Also, even higher level players appreciate lower level frogs - I sometimes feel lower level players feel they have nothing to offer, but personally, I appreciate any frog gifted, I can always sell for cash if he's in my dex already. Plus even tho I'm level 47 my dex is only 21% so I still have a lot of gaps to fill :)

I'll admit that what attracted me to this forum was the ability to talk a little more than just "Do you have This Week's Set?" ;) Sometimes I'm amazed by the tenacity of higher-level players and want to ask them what their secret is. How do you have the patience to wait days for your eggs to hatch? Or do you just go ahead and blow all your stamps/potions and work to get more? At level 20, I'm at the point where each egg takes 2 days to hatch, and I know it's only gonna get longer with each level I advance.

Actually I think 2 days is it. All the new level frogs are the same incubation as a Signum, however, they do take more flies to tame - a lot more.

If I am trying to level up, I don't let the babies fully mature until I sell them, I just like to make back what it cost me to breed them, then I sell them. This usually happens after 24 hours, depending on the frog level, so once a day i sell everything and breed all the habs out again which is an easy rhythm to get into. This strategy is simply to preserve my coins in case a miracle occurs and Nimblebit release an update where you can buy more habs. If you think that isn't going to happen, do a MartiNZ and just spend everything :D

Is it possible to tame, catalog and then clone a frog that is a higher level than your current level? My guess is no.

Not a personal issue, just an FYI type of thing. That should be FMI (for my info).

    Take care.

Your question piqued my curiosity. Had a Nodare (level 25) in my catalog and experimented (I'm at level 14). Clone is sitting in my mailbox now. Guess the only thing I can't do is breed it. Let's see what happens in 22 hours and 36 minutes :)

    Inseros. Soooo many Inseros... :)

Thanks Cyg for the Pyramis and Sneeb for the set frogs also, especially the Axis; I'd just got rid of the one I had before finding out what the new set was :)mad:). Thanks to my friends for the other gifts too. As someone else said, every gift, whatever level, is nice, and can always be cashed in if not needed for the dex. Breeding high-level frogs, a little extra coin is always appreciated.

Finally knocked off 3 of the 4 breeds I've been working on - Pluma, Quilta and Foramen. Symphonia are 2/3 done.

Next job will be to finish those, and dex Cornus and Pulvillius. Sticking with my top-and-bottom approach to the dex.
