It's been a whirlwind past couple of weeks!

S and I did way too much travel and (volunteer) work, culminating with 8 days managing operations and logistics for an event that's grown from 400 people to 1000.

The good - I loaded the job search pipeline pretty heavily in May and the first 2 weeks of June. Internal company recruiters are starting to call.

I've got an excellent prospect for a really interesting job doing process analysis and improvement in health IT. I've written extensively about aspects of this in grad school, so its something I'm passionate about. And it's a 2.5 block walk from our apartment, which means my commute will be 1 block longer than S's.

    Keep your fingers crossed please!

The bad - 2 weeks of neglected frogs. I'll catch up with my sets prettily quickly thanks to generous gifters, but my indexing habs are empty.

The good - I've never had this many frogs to thank people for!

    Awboj - Planeta
    Ella - Veru, Favus
Lisianne - Palma, Pluma, corona, Americano, igneous, Mustacium, Frondis, Amfractus
Dlstar - Botulus, Pluma, Frondis, stellata
SnappyMcFrog - a whole lot of Emblema, levar, Flecto
JKLau - Dimidius, Pictoris, Tabula, Planeta
AndiNZ - Volta, Hennae (several), Favus,
    Cygnet7 - igneous
RQuilt - Veru, a whole lot of Magus,
    Germantaseb - Palma
Meplie - Hennae, infinitas, a great pile of Pyramis
Josh - Pluma, a frog that I wrote down and can't read my own scribble
    Dom - Frondis, spira

Thanks people! It's good to be back in the froggy swing of things

I've got an Arcus in my catalog, but no Lotus.

Can someone spare a Lotus please?

    Thanks!

I'll have the whole set tamed in an hour or two depending on how fast my little fingers can tap. Want it?

Didn't have time to breed it myself yet so would like them if you still have them. :)

    Hi,

Thanks for the starter set from lisianne! Soon I'll be able to breed my own starter sets to pass on.

And thanks to javaRich, XXXBR, SnappyMcfrog, Dean Keith, Ella, Stargirl170, AndiNZ, lisianne, MartiNZ and meplie for all your recent gift froggies.

And now for some sobering news. I've got the blues. in fact, my habitats are full of blues (I have difficulty parting with them), but alas I must move on (a few more breeds of blues to conquer). To that end I'll be sharing them with my usual suspects and a couple of new ones too. Hopefully, this doesn't result in any flooding - but that is a risk I'm willing to take. Of course, the frogs have to be tamed before I can send them out. So there isn't any immediate danger to your mailboxes.

    Take care.

I've gone to the Dark Side...

Well Froggy Girls and Boys I finally did it!!

Today I went and got myself a Samsung Galaxy S4 to replace my little old iPhone 4.

I have already started a new game of Pocket Frogs on it (level 4 already, woot!) It's kind of fun starting all over again - I'm finding that I've missed having goals to reach, and hunting down those little froggies and trying to breed the right colour for my first request frog is challenging!

I'll still be playing on my iPhone for now, but the gifting will probably slow down. I haven't gone hunting for Android friends yet but it will probably happen sooner or later.

Thanks to everyone who's sent me frogs recently, including some starter sets, I'll do some gifting sometime in the next day or three (depends on if I have to work tomorrow or not!)

I'll be taking a break from intense frogging for a while (aside from needing time for other things, my tapping fingertip has gone numb and it's scaring me a little.) I'm very grateful to my generous friends, but please send your gifts to active members as I may not be able to empty my inbox regularly.

    Thanks for everything!

Sorry to hear about the problems with your tap finger. I had a similar problem a couple of years ago. Unwilling to give up my games, I tried using a stylus instead. And now I can't imagine not using one. There are so many to choose from - some are best at tapping others at drawing or dragging - and there is a wide range in price as well. I will share my personal choice, with no other recommendation than it works perfectly for me. I use the Wacom Bamboo (Solo) stylus. It cost around $30 and has the added expense of the replacement nibs ($5 for 3) - but you can replace the nibs without having to by a new stylus. I'm sure everyone has their own preferences, so for a small investment you can try several different ones for yourself. Wishing you the best.

    Take care.
    Mal

p.s. Did I mention no fingerprints on the screen!!
