Just finished dexing Tessera. Then, being aware of the proximity of another milestone, I hit the pond for some random breeding, and after an annoyingly long time for what it was, I got 5 new frogs, to take me to 28,152 in the dex. This may not sound an important number, but it means I have exactly half of the v2 frogs dexed! 19,504+((36,800-19,504)/2) = 28,152. As such, I think it's time for a change from focused dexing. It's random time !!

Such a generous place! With people like JonSwan & meplie offering the 4th of July Set & others asking, I had to sneak-peek into others' habs to see who might need it. I thus sent my full 4th of July Set to Ella. Not the easier Set to breed, I have 2 1/2 extra Set froggies. One Aurum Botulus (not quite right) & two perfect Frondis (Black Albeo & Black Callaina). These frogs will remain in my habs until tomorrow afternoon /night or until someone makes a request in the forum. Must say, quite disappointed in this 4th of July since it used so many frogs used before (didn't help the 'dexers any) & it was made up of pretty high value frogs. Reading the reviews for PF, the biggest complaint, major reason for poor reviews (tho' the overall score was 4 1/2 stars), was the inability to do Weekly Sets due to frogs people simply couldn't get or breed. At the very least, NB should consider allowing people to do Sets in whatever order they please as that would go a long way towards mollifying the critics. C'mon, PF is a 5 Star app, no question, but that shortcoming would affect any review so I haven't written one since v. 2. Yet. Thanks Lisi I hadn't gotten up to breeding this set this week and I really appreciate it. Second week in a row you've helped me out. Will be sending you a couple of favus (not a flood of frogs I promise). Anything in particular you would like I can breed combo of favus at the moment, or puncti if you would like a lower level frog. Lisi, another thing I would like NB to fix is the gifting bug. Before v2, received frogs would display whether they were new and in v2 they do not. This is a feature I miss. Fourth of July sets sent to Miamare and Quossum. If they're fixing stuff I would love it if they could add to the mail UI who sent gifted frogs! I'm not as diligent as some of you taking screenshots of incoming gifts, but sometimes it is nice to know who needs back-gifting ! Speaking of which, could I ask for some gift spam? My cupboards (mail) are bare!

Also thanks to many generous players: ADP for the Fortuno & Nebula JKLau for the Tabula Meplie for the many Gyrus I'm at level 25 right now and I must say, these are not my favorite designs in this level - Scutulata, Dimidius, and Nodare. Maybe one of them will start to grow on me and become a fave, like the Veru did.
Alas & alack, adding (or modifying) features is most likely not in the offing for that takes time & testing. Meanwhile, NB is working on their next game. Must be a brutal profession when one needs to constantly come out with a new game to remain relevant. Anyway, the last update included, with two exceptions, a flood of new frogs; minimal tinkering with the game code so as not to cause major problems. In short, I can hope & complain, hope & complain, hope & well... BTW, I complained prior to the v. 2 update about the makeup of the Weekly Sets, even before the Glittering Gems Set which was all Signum. If I were a newbie, I'd be most upset about the rigid reverse chronological order of past Weekly Sets. As a 'dexer, I'd be frosted about the loss of the "new" indication for gifted frogs. As either or neither, I'd be grateful for the addition of coins for pond gifts refused. p.s.: Thanks so much to meplie for the 2 Nebula, Ella for the 2 Favus, java for the Nebula & Lunaris, Adp for the Nebula & Emblema, & Snappy for the Arbor.
when I push no to a gift in the pond, I get coins instead...I've only payed attention on a few scenery, but I'm pretty sure it's the same for the frogs, as I hear the coins clinking noise on them too.
It's a lazy HOT Sunday here in DC and we are huddled around the AC waiting for it to cool down so we can go for a walk this evening... Most breeds lvl 18-28 I still need so think of me if you have those to gift . I'll be sending out my last lot of Tessera today, and then I'll be rather random with gifts (dun dun duhhhhhhhh!!!!).
