So TA1 is supposed to be an alternative for TA, with specialized events and leaderboards? I have been with TA for almost a year, but I haven't been playing PP for a long while(~5 months) so have a lot to catch up
Yes an alternative to TA. Yes, we have our own leader board and even a few reporters that contribute news articles. It is a good group! Though I would not switch until the event is over. Scratch that I would switch because two reasons. 1. We are the cool kids. Lol 2. The prize for the winner of the world event is not as good as second place. 3. We have rankings. Ah damn that is three reasons to join!
All right, Penguin Man. Couple of misunderstandings need to be addressed here: 1. Merlion doesn't wear Jedi robes. 2. Hehe. Well I thought it to be best.. Me and Gus seemed to be running away with it and since we both weren't flying the last day I thought we should just end it in a draw. Seemed like a gentlemen's way of settling it. Better to do that than me fling a few then him and so on. Then Nalazoo joined the crowd. I informed her we had reached a cease fire. She agreed to honor it and join the glory. And we all kindly obeyed the rules and shared the podium. However. For the sake of the standings I will be glad to give my 1/3 of a point to Gus if Nalazoo agrees to do the same as he was the first to reach the 10k mark and it makes the standings a little easier to read.
The only reason dropping this race from the MOFO rankings was even discussed is because if we had to slack off to stay in 2nd (for the sake of getting a full C130) then we might as well all take a break together. Icon, I took your post as it was intended...all as humor. No hard feeling! Also, I'm too young to be "offed".
A new issue got tongues wagging in the small community of TA1ville. Gus, the local champion, had won so many events that some said fame threatened to go to his head. It was whispered that he started going around town surrounded by bodyguards. Sometimes he doled out autographs, even to people who didn't ask for them. Then there was the day when one of the MOFO Statesman & Herald's reporters got back to the office rather flushed. Turns out the poor fellow had tried to get an interview with Gus. Before he knew what happened Gus took his notebook and pen from him, autographed the notebook and gave it back, after which a couple of burly types took him by the shoulders and shoved him out the door. Merlion, the Editor in Chief, decided that this was not enough to report on as most of it was hearsay. The MOFO Statesman & Herald adheres to strict standards of journalism. However, the MS&H can now confirm that Gus has gone to the airport and started telling people that in all probability a plane will be named after him. We will keep you posted as this unfolds.

Can't disagree with this. It's pretty obvious to me too. I mean usually its been 2-3 bux events them a part then maybe a full plane every now and then. But there have been 3-4 full planes lately. Then on top of that a DEVELOPER'S CONVENTION" in SF? I sense an update soon.
