How many things (people+cargo) are in Melbourne (full upgrade)? I only see 12, is correct?

Funny, TA1 in #2 has half the jobs from TA #1
Nimblewiki #3 has half the jobs from TA1 #2
And #4 has half the jobs from #3
    :)

Don't worry about what's IN Melbourne...just ADVERTISE for Melbourne. When you ADVERTISE, it puts more people & cargo to GO TO Melbourne in other airports.

Best to load a plane, and send it round trip from Jakarta (or your hub) and back. It goes out full & returns empty.

    Longest flight - either way

Sorry to butt in here, but I wanted to report about my longest flight. First off, you CAN go either from Wellington to Nome, or the other way - and it still counts. (I know, that is logical, but I did not find that...).

I tried to not buy too many new airports I didn't want, and I wanted to use one of the Class 1 planes that I had active (I only have 2 Kangaroo M's). This is the path I took:

    Nome
    Whitehorse
    Calgary
    Chicago
    Miami
    Georgetown
    Recipe
    Dakar
    Lagos
    Cairo
    Bagdad
    Dehli
    Bangkok
    Jakarta
    Port Hedland
    Sydney
    Wellington

The Kangaroo needs a fully upgraded fuel tank to make the Lagos to Cairo jump. Most of that path is fairly direct and I think is crosses the Atlantic at a good spot (Recipe to Dakar). It would have been more direct if I purchased more airports in Africa and the Arabian pennisula, but I am not sure it would be worth it. I still was able to make over 8,500 coins on this route...

I've picked up two parts so far, after having... let's see... 12 jobs delivered. That comes down to somewhere around 1 in 6. *inspects fingernails*

    Cheers,
    M.

    Nice.

    Let's see... 2 parts picked up out of 468 jobs delivered ... that's 1 in 234. :(
But then, I'm not part sitting and may have missed some in my haste to get my planes in the air during idle moments between sightseeing.
Checked out the National Postal Museum today ... saw some planes there too! :D ... and the Air and Space Museum. I think the Little One enjoyed the Natural History Museum best out of all the places we visited.

I found couldn't find Mystery Parts at all when the event started. After a couple hours I was beginning to question if there were any and then finally I found one. Seems like there are more today.

The National Air & Space Museum - then you must've seen the Spirit of St Louis. IMHO it looks exactly like a Supergopher. Or am I becoming too PP-obsessed?

    Cheers,

Tough crowd indeed. Went to bed in 5th...woke up in 8th. Snowbird (aka Leaping Liz) must have served the pilots suped up caffinated coffee to keep them flying through the night...as she flew right past me & toward the top!

    Press Release

Today Merlionine Airlines (NYSE: MQ) announces closing the Deal of the Century. MQ has agreed to purchase a total of 35 specially modified Penguin Sea Knights, bringing its total Sea Knight fleet to 62. Merlionine will now be in the unique position to fly its discerning passengers on an all-Sea Knight fleet.

The Penguin Sea Knight 303s will be modified in order to reach the high standards to which Merlionine holds its equipment. The modifications include maximum range and the extended use of carbonfiber materials, resulting in a fleet that is not only highly efficient but eco-friendly as well. Merlionine's Sea Knights have not been modified for speed due to the airline's continued focus on passenger comfort.

The purchase is the result of a pitch between Penguin Sea Knight Ltd (NASDAQ: PSKL) and the Lockheed Mapple Corporation (NYSE: LM). Although Merlionine acknowledges the high quality and versatility of the Mapple X10, it has chosen the Sea Knight for its extra cargo bay and lower operating costs. The airline expects the global Flatland economy to improve in the near future, which will put the larger cargo capacity to good use.

Merlion, MQ's CEO, commented: "We expect to be able to serve the Pocket Planes community even better in the future. We are renowned for our legendary Blimp service, allowing our passengers to cruise the skies in unprecedented quietude and comfort. Lesser known is the fact that we also serve the largest number of airports, many of which are Class 1 and have short runways. Our Sea Knights will be able to serve any airport for which we have secured landing slots and fly our passengers and as much luggage as they want to all corners of the world."

Penguin, PSKL's CEO and Chief Pilot, said: "We are honoured to be chosen as the supplier for Merlionine's secondary fleet. This deal brings great advantage to us, as we are primarily an event airline that has to compete on speed and volume. Standardising our fleet on one airplane type will give us wings. We are especially pleased as we are now better able to compete with GusAir, a budget airline that operates an obsolete fleet of Kangaroos."

Merlionine Airlines Ltd, headquartered in Singapore, is a leading airline that offers a premium travel product in the world of global PP travel. It stands out in passenger service and attractive advertising campaigns, under the slogan: Merlionine Girl, You're A Great Way To Fly. Disclosure: Merlionine's CEO also holds a controlling interest in the MOFO Statesman & Herald.

Penguin Sea Knight Ltd is a leading operator of event planes that has its origins in the oil fields of Oklahoma. It proudly calls itself the Sooner Airline, and operates under the slogan We Fly Sooner, Not Later.

It was a pleasure working with you.

Over the past few weeks our companies have endured many thumb-numbing trading sessions and endless part scrolling to put together the most competitive fleets for each companies individual purposes.

Many times I regretted the decision during te gifting process but today I am proud to boast what is sure to be the largest fleet of Mapples in "Flatland." (40)

It brought pleasure to Penguin Sea Knight Ltd. to be the supplier of a great number of Sea Knights to Merlionine Airlines Ltd and help him achieve his goal of a 62 Sea Knight fleet.

Penguin SK Ltd will officially cease to operate at the conclusion of the Melbourne event, and will begin running its fleet of Mapples part of which have been utilized in the previous two events.

Much to the contrare of Merlions environmentally conscious airline the Penguin Mapple fleet operates on max speed upgrades to continue its service of getting you there "sooner". Penguin's oil heritage allows him to produce and refine his own premium fuels to allow such an operation.

Again, my thanks to Merlionine Airlines for allowing Penguin SK to supply his new fleet and achieve each companies goal.

Good luck to all and happy flying.

MQ down sharply in Stockholm. the men and women clothing retailer is affected by the news of a huge deal of its Singapore based airline subsidiary with PSKL announced this morning.
Analysts fear that the abnormally high EBITDA margin from the famous Blimp airline will be negatively affected by the switch to Sea Knights. Although the ARPU will rise thanks to the extra cargo, the lower margin of a SK fleet as its lower range could disrupt a well oiled machine.
Merlion, CEO of MQ:US declined to comment.
PSKL is privately owned by oil magnate Penguin. The eccentric billionaire is believed to fly routinely some of its planes.

That's not a speaker.... Quick! Call airport security!

Also, loved the business news report from Merlion, supplemented by Penguin & Vic. Although, Merlion Airlines' slogan makes me wonder...

Anyone else having a terrible time finding mystery parts today? I've done over 1200 jobs and only found 1.

I've not played as much as yesterday but i've still got 5-6 from 200 jobs sent. I am only running mainly bux jobs to Melbourne and the rest of my fleet is still bux sitting, I realised I was short of my target so needed to get more bux. While the planes are sat there I have them pick up any mystery parts so I may have a bit of an advantage
