    Ignoring bug fixes and other related changes, there's only been a couple (one of which was the addition of the Kringle Kruiser and X10 Mapple Pro, synching with the Mac version of PP and swapping Spain's Cordoba with Seville).

    Hello.

    It cost less to fly than the other Class 3 planes which translates to more revenue, but I'm sure one of the veterans around here can give a much more detailed answer.

    Sequoias are definitely the most cost effective Class 3 planes, on a profit per job basis. But Cyclones are a lot faster, and have more capacity. They offer more profit on a per hour basis.

    So if you're a leisurely player, Seqs are best for you. If you're a frequent player, or if you need speed when playing events or so, Cyclones are best.

    Cheers,
    M.

    I had a dive crew get a bit antsy while still on the plane.

    What about Cloudliners? The game would have you believe that it's the best plane, but they didn't reek as much profit as my Sequoias, and usually took a while to fill up anyway.

    The problem with Cloudliners is that the P/C versions have 17 places - which I imagine would take several refreshes to fully load up - and the horrendous inequality of the M version (12 passengers to 5 cargo). Ignoring the Concorde, all the other Class 3 M planes are either level or +/-1 either side.

    Grrrr...couldn't log into Game Center to get populated final top 10.

    New event is BUX only...so I think we need a MORONS prize! I'll offer up a BLIMP for the 1st place prize :)

    The heck with the boring Bux sitting, Here is a pretty typical flight with my set up. Far East to Alaska.

    I have picked up close to 5,000 Bux in the last 2 weeks playing a couple of hours a day.

    Wow, there are 5 class 3 cities near Bangalore... Guess there will be several of us with 10k jobs at the end?

    I'm thinking it will take 20k to win and at least 3-4k to make top ten, maybe 5k. I don't think I'll be one of them. This weekend is the Chicago blues fest and that will take up my whole Saturday and most of my Friday if I can get the day off.

    I've been playing PP for a couple months. I really enjoyed reading this forum. Lot's of really clever and insightful stuff. I would like to start competing in the Global Events with you guys and gals. GC id is DCW3H. I read something about a spreadsheet but not really sure how to sign up on that.

    Casa's MOFOs

    As usual with an UBBO (Utterly Boring Bux Only) event, there was much grumbling in TA1ville about Casablanca, or Casa as the regulars like to call it. But being the industrious no-nonsense crew that we are, everyone soon set about, making sleepy Mohammed V International quite a busy airport for the next few days.

    And the results are in: we have a new winner! Mindtornado, you could say, took Casa by storm. (Sorry, couldn't resist that one.) Scoring almost double the number of the next in line, the Tornado won Casa with 7,796 jobs. It's good to see a new wind blowing in TA1ville (oops, sorry, won't happen again), and we of the MOFO Statesman & Herald extend our heartfelt congratulations.

    It's interesting to see that for the second time in a row our cerebral hurricane came pretty close to the 10k limit. Is he a future Superhero? That's still pretty much up in the air. (Argh. Can't stop.) Anyway, stay tuned as the M S & H will always be the first to tell you how the winds blow. (OK, please shoot me now.)

    Jmac, who's been doing quite well lately, took a solid second with 4,411 jobs. Faye made an attempt to win back the second place in the Cup she lost last week (see below), and completed the podium. Congrats to both!

    Lorena aka XGarriga took 4th with almost 3,500 jobs, Followed by Ktc, Penguin, Suvinirk, and Snowbird, who all finished in the 2,000s. Penguin, great to have you back! And Suvinirk, happy to see you're a stayer. Hope to see more of you!

    Nalazoo took 9th with a bit over 1,900 jobs, and Chewbacca aka Captainbrowncoat set the Top Ten entry ticket at the nice number of 1,515. Congrats to all the points finishers!

    That said, the SY7/GS3 ranking now looks like this:

    1st: Popehatz, 150 points and Champion (1st, 150);
    2nd: Jmac, 75 (4th, 57);
    3rd: Faye, 71 (3rd, 56);
    4th: Penguin, 63 (4th, 55);
    5th: XGarriga, 62 (5th, 50);
    6th: Ktc24, 51 (7th, 41);
    7th: Nalazoo, 48 (6th, 46);
    8th: Mindtornado, 43 (10th, 18);
    9th: Nokitano, 30 (8th, 30);
    10th: Vic, 25 (9th, 25).

    Popehatz was already crowned Champion last race, so no news there. Behind him Jmac holds on to 2nd place, despite Faye's attacks. With two races to go, we predict an interesting battle for second!

    We'd almost say that Penguin came out of hibernation, but that's impossible of course, for a penguin. Penguins live in Hibernia. But he did come out of the cold, and managed to hang on to his 4th place. Will he be able to fend off his attackers? Or will he even be able to join the battle for the two remaining podium places? With only 13 points separating 2nd to 5th, a lot can still happen in two races!

    Speaking of 5th, that's Lorena, hot on the heels of the polar bird, with only one point difference. Ktc follows at a 9 points distance, with in turn 'Zoo and the Tornado right behind him. The psychic cyclone is moving up the ranks at a fast clip, now in 8th with 43 points. Two more wins can, theoretically, still get him to the podium!

    Nokitano and the Sheriff close the ranks in 9th and 10th.

    Vic holds on to the Top Ten with his fingernails, with Snowbird only six points behind him. Snowbird is followed by Green Paper with 15 points in 12th, and the two Northerners who seems to be joined at the hip lately, in 13th and 14th with 12 and 11. Chewbacca and Suvinirk follow in 15th/16th with 9 and 8.

    On to the Concorde rankings:

    1st: (Trumpet sounds) FAYE VALENTINE, 534 (2nd, 519);
    2nd: Gus, 526 1/3 (1st, 526 1/3);
    3rd: North, 366 (3rd, 366);
    4th: Penguin, 350 1/3 (4th, 342 1/3);
    5th: Nalazoo, 302 1/3 (5th, 300 1/3);
    6th: Number1Ump, 288 (6th, 288);
    7th: Nokitano, 275 (7th, 275);
    8th: Vic, 267 (8th, 267);
    9th: Snowbird, 240 (9th, 236);
    10th: Ktc24, 237 (10th, 227).

    It's finally happened: Faye the Stayer flings Gus from 1st place. Will it last? We can already see from the first results out of Bangalore that the Swarm Master has woken up. He's out there collecting points again, and for a reason.

    The Swarmster's tactic has been clear for a while. He has gained a lot of points by dominating the game in its early stages. He sees winners come and go, Popehatz breaking record after record, Mindtornado breezing in, Snowbird or Tater winning a race or two. But Gus sits on more than half a thousand points so whatever happens, scroll down the halfweekly MOFO report and there he sits, in all his glory, on the Concorde Throne. As Pope has found out, you can win six races in a row and you'll still be 350 points behind Gus. It takes a stayer to win the most prestigious of PP prizes.

    No more, Gus. All this time there was another stayer right behind you - and now in front! You'll have to work for your crown again. Good luck to you, winning it back, and Faye, to you too, defending it. May the best M/F win!

    Other than that, not much to report in the Concorde. If Penguin really returns - and if North lets him - he may win back his prospective podium place. He also needs to watch 'Zoo. Nokitano could at some point jump the stationary Ump; Vic needs to watch Snowbird; and Ktc sits relatively safe in 10th.

    Ktc's gap with Castle is now 53 points. Castle sits a meagre 5 points in front of Pope, who may come back when there's something interesting to win. And Tater and Jmac sit not very far behind that.

    Mindtornado still sits at a safe distance, in 29th with 43 points. Will he storm the ranks? Or will it turn out to be just hot air? Time will tell. And even farther down, Chewbacca shows promise. The Wookiee sits in 33rd with 33 points, just behind TheFantasyIcon who has 35. Speaking of whom, how's the bux sitting goin', Icon? When are you going to turn all these bux into an award winning swarm? We are waiting with baited breath!

    As always, boyz and girlz, the MOFOs hold promise for much, much more. See ya in Beantown Bangalore!

    Cheers,
    M.

    M- Not even close on bux sitting. Not sure if I'll ever be there. Had to exchange tons of bux to build 20 cyclones, had to spend tons of bux to fly said damn cyclones, and had to exchange more bux to continue flying said cyclones. AS You can see I now am bux and momentarily cash poor...so who knows?

    Question for anyone handy with Google spreadsheets: it seems that the bux calculator tab cannot be accessed by all. Can anyone change that (back) to normal? Not even sure what's wrong since it works fine when I go in and try. But others seems to have problems.

    Vic, North, or Faye maybe?

    Thanks,
    M.
