I was expecting more of a Flight Control-esque line drawing game but this one is much more true to the air traffic control genre where you manage flight path elevations, etc. Gameplay is initially slow and builds up with an increase of incoming flights. Overall, it has a nice look and feel and makes for a fun pick up and play title.
I'm enjoying the game very much. I currently work in an air traffic facility and my coworkers and I have been highly entertained on our breaks. Comments such as, "You just dumped that guy through the one at 310!" "Man, you know better, those airways don't diverge enough!" "That's a box one right there!" (Box 1 on a controller's training form is the most important, it is the one for whether or not separation was maintained) Definitely a challenging game.
Thanks for the code! Like others I was expecting a game more like Flight Control. This game is nothing like that, other than you don't want the planes to crash. This game is about simulating a job as an air traffic controller. You have to make sure the planes get through your screen without running into each other. You can't change the direction the planes are going, but you can change their altitude, so they can pass over one another. Altitude is controlled by tapping on the plane you want to select and swiping up or down. There is a nice detailed tutorial included on the menu screen. The game starts slow but quickly picks up. Local high scores only. Nice game for those interested in ATC, which is definitely this game's target audience. Thanks again for the code! Leaving a review on iTunes.
