The screenshots look amazing!! I'm just waiting for some video demo before I promise to buy it though.
I made a pact with the devil not to release the video until AppStore submission! its not far off - don't worry.
I tried, but the touch screen doesn't work with gloves. The video turned out pretty boring as a result.
try making the gloves abit wet. or make small holes in the ends of each finger of the gloves so that your fingers can touch the touchscreen!
voicing previous concerns, you have crossed the gap between a casual and serious game. Please don't rush it, it deserves the time to be properly developed. A truly great game can take years to create even with a whole team of developers. take the time to make it the best you can.
My anticipation of this game is high. Can't wait for a video. BTW...he's right about the technical stuff, although I don't know why 24p would be an issue since most cameras that record in 24p also record in other frame rates (30p, 60i). So...maybe it is the fear of showing his thumbs on the net. Sadly, his fear might be warranted. I recall a developer showed a gameplay vid on here once and there were a slew of comments about his nails being too white, urging him to go see a doctor, etc. ...wonder what happened to that dev? Hope it wasn't serious....
I don't think there would be much of a problem if another person did it, or if you shown us a preview on the computer and used something to record it. Not that bad of a deal lol
Hey guys, We have an interview that both Russ and I participated on which will be located at powso.com. We did the interview last night and it we got into some details about the game. Release is coming up very soon, which means I really need to finish the trailer! I got some footage which was ok, but not good enough quality to go in the trailer. It is extremely difficult to capture nice looking gameplay footage. It might end up being that Russ has to take the footage out of the editor which would look clean enough to show. -Josh
Talk about your no-win situation We're polishing the gameplay first, and squashing bugs, then we'll focus on fleshing the story out to make a solid experience. I'm inclined toward quality over quantity, and "The Fallen King" is just the first story in the series. We want to get it out there and see what people like and don't like, so we can incorporate those changes back into the next story. These forum posts have been very helpful, and I think they'll get even more helpful once you all have the first story in your hands. We really want to break down the traditional barrier between the devs and the players, and make the games you guys want. Back to the coding cave...
I like to think of us as "free range developers". We're not cooped up in tiny cages in a gigantic factory. We're out in the barnyard, baybee
Hey, i have a question for you developers. Will there be magic/spells in the game ? It would be awesome
