    WOW!!!
While everyone comment about the graphics (I found it very good, with a big warning about the animation...the super Mario style jump looks very silly....and is jump really necessary in a RPG?) I strongly hope it will have a cool and interesting story to uncover.
The physics touches (the swinging sign most) and the lovely village really picked up my interest, even if I do not like at all (in general) 3D graphics on my 3GS (I strongly prefer 2D...I would love something like Ultima 7, Baldur's Gate, Icewind Dale type of game, that are perfectly doable).

In any case, seems really wonderful, cannot wait for more infos/firts reviews...

IDK, the ones in Eldar Scrolls were hilariously bad like this. It's more than them being choppy, it's that they are bad.

Watch the trailer from 0:22 to 0:27, that cinematic was obviously done in engine if not in realtime gameplay. The walking and running are animated well. Comparing that with the marrionette movement ingame. The charge vs the polar bear looks...

Like I said, maybe a hookup with a publisher would have attained them more resources or more time.

Thanks for the good and bad comments guys! As you know -
we can use those to help make the game better.
The footage was actually recorded on my PC, not on an iPhone,
so any lag there would be from recording video while playing it with a screen capture program. The game is not finished yet - still have a few weeks left.
Obviously the first half is cinematics - and not game play.

arta, I think you meant to write "Elder Scrolls were not hilariously bad like this." But in fact, they were:

Check out that jump on :54, or the fights that starts on 1:43 and 2:01. Then remember the budget available to a team at Bethesda compared to that of small independent team.

This may be a case of seeing a glass 3/4 full vs 1/4 empty. No question that the animations are not realistic, but the environments look great, the art direction is top-notch, the scope of the game is impressive, and there seems to a lot of variety to the action. I, for one, can't wait to get my hands on it.

If Ravensword will cost 5$, the developers will earn around 500.000$ in the fisrt hours after release.

There are people all over the word, who want to buy this game. They are chatting in many forums. They are all wating for this...

    Hello,
I would like to comment here. I am a beta tester for Ravensword. I have numerous hours of game play on this game. I would say the animations are not jerky at all. The game play is very smooth. I really like the animations for the different weapons are used.

I am sure if you like adventure type games that have a good story line you will enjoy this game.

See developers post above (#573). Here's the gist:

The footage was actually recorded on my PC, not on an iPhone,
so any lag there would be from recording video while playing it with a screen capture program. The game is not finished yet - still have a few weeks left.

You guys are harsh! (Runs out of the room, cries into pillow)

I especially liked the "lego man running to the bathroom" crack. I got news for you mister: Lego men don't go to the bathroom. Ever seen a lego toilet? Lego man droppings? I think not! Research your criticisms before you come in here accusing us of doing something that simply does not occur in nature! :D

"arta, I think you meant to write "Elder Scrolls were not hilariously bad like this." But in fact, they were:"

Good lord! I had forgotten... I loved that game too, more so than Oblivion for some reason. I guess it was my first.

Glad to see you guys have a sense of humor. Unfortunately, people around here tend to make beautiful little movies in their heads, then try to compare them to reality and end thoroughly disappointed. For what it's worth, the footage is very much in line with what I expected from the platform and this particular genre (those demons were pretty robotic in Oblivion). I hope you guys are not discouraged.

Dear betatester: ADVENTURE TYPE GAMES + GOOD STORY LINE....you just sold me the game (more than the trailer, which already raised my interest).
I do not mind the action part (hoping it's not too present everywhere)...but I really hope for a good story, dialogues, maybe cool intelligent puzzles and exploring....

    :p

Congrats for the trailer and the upcoming project.

If I may ask...the trailer shows the setting and the graphics (obviously); and aside from one dialogue mostly is action (it's understandable in a trailer).
When talking about the game, you usually refer to it ad an adventure...are there many dialogues?
    Are there any puzzle?
    Object combination and joining?
    Landscape/objects interaction?

I noticed a really cool physic, the swingin sign but even the blowing cart is awesome.
Is any of that used in the game aside a graphical thing?

BTW, no one mentioned it, but personally I REALLY REALLY like the look of the map...seems really an old cloth map you would have found in a 80-90 D&D Goldbox or Ultima games.

While I thing graphics is less important than other things, I must admit that the graphics in the 0.22-024 seconds (the village) almost gave me an heartattack :) , before releazing it's probably just a cutscene (gameplay graphics it's perfectly fine for me).

I decided to get all of the animal animations redone - and the main characters run cycle - however - it plays smooth on the phone so that may be part of the problem with the trailer.
