Hi all. My first post here.

I've been working on a real-time, location-based game/web-app, which is currently playable on iPhone and Android. Visit FriendsWithGuns.com on your iPhone to play.

Please let me know your thoughts after checking it out - we've had a small number of players come through since RC, but the current state of the game seems to lack the stickiness on the first round of play that I had hoped it would have. The game can be frustrating and stressful in the first round or two, before you get the hang of it and start making other people's lives miserable (incoming missiles at 4 a.m.?) We're rolling out more features over the next couple weeks to help with said first round blues.

The idea is to fire missiles at the real-time location of your opponent and avoid being hit by their missiles. You can avoid attack and gain credits for weapons purchases by checking-in through the app (it will tell you how far you have to move and how long you have before impact).

Others have commented, "I'm too lazy to play this game". That may be the case, but my friends and I are office workers and that, itself, is really the challenge of the game - remaining vigilant and checking-in to build credits when you're not being fired on, so that you have resources to fire back and deploy shields when it's impossible to change your physical location. You can also lay mines if you're playing against someone in your city, and if you just need a break, you can activate a cloak, which can be used for up to 3.3 hours.

Give it a go, check back for additional features over the coming weeks and feel free to challenge anyone at the top of the leaderboard... or just pick on the person at the bottom.

    Thank you!!!!!!
