Especially considering we can not even get an update on the release date. I am starting to think asking for ANYTHING is too much. In my mind that does not bode well for future support...
They've already said April. Much prefer this approach to saying "next week", and then "oh, next week" and later "we'll definitely release it" and continue on "we're sorry, but next week we promise"! They've already given a rough estimate and that is IMO everything they should give us before they send it to Apple and KNOW for sure when it will be released. Anything else is bad customer service IMO.
does anyone here feel that developers maybe shoot themselves in the foot when they release info here ? .....everyone just goes mental along the lines of well if its not out by tomorrow i'm not buying it ! Suspect it would be better to ignore the upcoming games and just post when released
I personally enjoy seeing that great games are coming for my iDevice. On the other hand, I also enjoy being surprised by super titles that I wasn't expecting. I would imagine that those folks, who would think that they can manipulate developers by threatening not to purchase the app, need to realize the developers probably just don't care if you buy their app or not. For every one person that makes a rash statement, there are probably twenty or more who are gonna be thrilled when this game finally launches. Drumming up a little hype never hurt any game IMHO. I'm buying day one, no matter when this one comes out, and would encourage the developers to keep cracking away until THEY feel like it's ready.
BTW, setting up a release date is somewhat close to impossible due to the nature of the App Store. I mean, Apple approval process can delay any estimate from the developers. So just chill. In a way, this discussion is building up interest around this game, I'm sure the developers are motivated by this and are giving their best to release a great product. Cheers, Leo
I think if I met God today and I was told I could have 3 questions answered: - Friday Nights Lottery Numbers ? - Where (if) is there other intelligent life in the Universe ? - Has Deliverace been submitted to the app store yet ?
When devs set a release date, they usually send their game to apple around a week before, and it's out the day the said to them. If they send it 2 days before the release date, apple are (i think) obligated to release it at that date, if it has been set 'lot of time before. But anyway, these days, apple is really fast for approval, sometime it takes only 1 day or 2, so... The day Pixelbite say they send it to apple, the game will be out the day after... I hope it's soon!
A big question, hey I can hope: Will this also be made for the iPad? I look forward to a top down racer like this SO much, but would love to see it on the larger platform. thanks
So, we're in the middle of april and there is no game, no sign of the game and not even an update. They have already promised that the release will be in April, and I hope they won't break that promise. And if they don't, it means the game will be in our hands in atleast 15 days!! And that is totally awesome!!
I wish the devs would stop torturing us. I'm almost certain it's on purpose Also I checked PixelBite status, and their online quite often.
