Yeah I have too. In fact I'm not sure there is anyone who hasn't read it as Deliverance at one time or other. I don't mind the name change much as long as the game plays well.
Gutted that this still hasn't been submitted. I'm not too bothered what the name is but I liked deliverace, however I never saw any delivering type of game in the videos so... Yeah. Edit: Just watched the first trailer again and there is a delivery mode. Now I really wish the name was still Deliverace :/

So you saying "It's a good move" doesn't necessarily reflect your personal opinion on the title. You're just looking at the bright side and saying it's a good move on the developer's part. You're not saying that you like the title. Again, that first part, which you conveniently cut out of your post (whether or not that was intentional, I don't really care ), kind of negates your post to me. Taking the quote you threw down out of context, I could see that you might like the title. But reading it in the context of your whole post, it's clear that that comment is more of a "Well, I don't personally like it, but it's a good idea in the long run" comment. But I'm glad to hear the other posters that quoted me say they like it, too. I'm glad I'm not the only one

I'm totally not buying a game if it has the word "redneck" in the title. Reckless Racing works for me. The key to a good name is simplicity, it needs to be easy to remember. Deliverace was obviously not easy because a whole bunch of people couldn't even spell it, but the new title harkens back to the days of yore when Micro Machines was king of the top-down racers. It's got a bit of a 90s ring to it and as word goes around it'll stick in people's minds.

If it was called "Deliverace", as pun on "Deliverance" and "race", it would have to come not only with banjo music, but also with an inbred sodomy minigame. Or maybe they just couldn't have Burt Reynolds as a voice actor for the main character. EDIT: And hell yeah, 'fart racing on tird hill' would definitely kick ass!
I could have done with this being released last week and then being stuck in Spain since Sunday because of the Ash Cloud would have passed a little easier! Also without trawling through the posts why has the name changed? I much prefer Deliverace to Reckless Racing, the former sounds like some thought has gone into it and the latter just sounds like a million other racers...
Perhaps it's going to go down the same route as GT5 with endless delays, this was announced around the same time as SFIV wasn't it? I know it's certainly the longest I've waited for a title to appear and it's starting to grate a bit now...
Agreed. Not much more to say about that, but Deliverace is a much more appealing title. Reckless Racing makes it sound like a generic racer.
