I keep visiting this particular thread for a laugh - seriously, everyone needs to go get a life, pickup your iPhone or Touch and go play some other games. I'm sure this game will appear when it's ready but talk about making a big deal out of nothing, it's just a game!
I'm searching for this message you keep talking about, I mean, the one where someone said it has been "officially" abandoned. Cheers, Leo
Errr, the comment I quoted, the title. And that brings me to my other thing that I sometimes dislike about forums - people getting involved in other people's shit when they have no reason and without reading up anything, just going on some other douche's mistaken accusation. Thanks iphoneprogrammer and da shiz wiz - nice to see some decent members on this thread. And yes I will bite if people continue to mess with me
Im just going to start posting links to games whose developers and PR know what they are doing... This first gem from THQ Wireless who gives an actual date of release as well as a time frame for an iPad version a month in advance- http://toucharcade.com/2010/06/30/star-wars-battle-of-hoth-tower-defense-due-july-15th/#comments Bravo!! They also gave a "soon" date back when it was first displayed and low and behold..... wait for it....... It actually will be out soon! http://forums.toucharcade.com/showthread.php?t=55282
Yeah, I missed the title, thanks, your rant is 100% correct. BTW I was not trying to raise any shit, it was a real question. Cheers, Leo
News from Pixelbite I contacted the developer and got this response: Today, 04:32 AM Pixelbite_Games Junior Member Join Date: Mar 2010 Location: Helsingborg, Sweden Posts: 23 Re: Reckless Racing Hey. We are all waiting for some official news about the game's release. Should not be long now... So, maybe this will be out in the coming days or in the next couple of weeks !
Hee heeeeee! Yes, it does, but the question is, "Whose approval are they referring to?"* *Not to be confused with "reefering to".
I would take that with a grain of a salt (more like a shaker full)...they've been saying that same thing for almost two months. This thread should just be deleted, I would almost consider this "game" to be vaporware...
Most definatley will wait! I just had to add my two cents to this forum. I have not lost interest in this game as time goes by. The game looks amazing graphically and game play wise. I look at it from a developers point of view. We don't see what goes on in the background. The game needs to be optimized for the different IPOD generations including the newest IPHONE and Android. Vehicle AI needs to be balanced and "All" bugs hopefully resolved before releasing the final product. Sometimes, decisions are made to change the sound effects, music, vehicle physics ( obviously a big one in this game) and camera view to give the most "Wow" factor to the game. Check out the other game Pixelbite has in development "Smoking Guns" and you will see the same commitment to quality there as well. You can't rush a thing of beauty and that's why I can certainly wait until the cars come home.
Smoking Guns, is that the other fantastic looking Pixelbite game that was mentioned in February that also hasn't been released? Also you can add Raging Thunder 2 to that list of unreleased Pixelbite iPhone games. So that's 3 upcoming games mentioned as far back as February with 2 of those being released 'soon' and here we are more than 5 months later and we still don't have the slightest inkling when we're going to see any of them. So yes with Pixelbite's titles we can see a commitment to quality but we can also see a dedication to slipped release dates and a lack of news updates. I'd love to hear anything about Reckless Racing from Pixelbite just so those that are eagerly waiting have something to pin their hopes on...
Apologies to them then. I made the mistake of searching for it in the iStore under Pixelbite but I see it's not by 'them', I presume that Polarbit are the publishers? Why aren't the the devs 'tagged' when searching for apps?
Smoking Guns was mentioned as "early concept demo" in March so we'll see it on December 22, 2012. Maybe.
