I was stuck in a meeting when the event was going on, could not catch it live.... Darn my manager... ikno! Did anyone mention reckless racing on the stage?
nope, nothing. You can watch the whole keynote on the apple homepage on your idevice browser, I read on the front page on TA that t only works there. So there was a bunch of cool stuff there. But no games. There was, however a tech demo of the unreal tournament 3 engine working. The demo is available on the app store for free, so grab it now Only for 3rd gen iPod and iPhone and up. Oh yeah, and the new iPods available NEXT WEEK! So no, no reckless racing.
You're serious? Steve Jobs went up on stage and prattled on about unimportant stuff and didn't mention Reckless Racing even once? How could this be? I also heard he was wearing a crew neck black shirt rather than mock turtleneck. Add up the clues---he must be an imposter! Probably sent by the people trying to keep us from playing Reckless Racing.
Chances are, there'll be so many similar games released before this one, and the wait will be so long that everyone will be dissapointed. First month people may even praise it to justify the money they spent, but a few months later everyone will remember it with dissapointment, like so many other hyped, long-waited games.
There is no word about RR at EA sites, also nothing new at pixelbite, nothing on conference, damn wth is going on with that? Pixelbiters? Electronic Artists? are You still there?
Have you ever thought that part of the reason why they're not releasing yet is so everyone creates buzz about it? Imagine how many people have seen this thread since March or April. Obviously that's not all there is to it, but it could be some.
I think it's not a positive. There seem to be way more people who are annoyed than people who are delighted at the opportunity to wait for it for so long. The vast majority of buyers aren't going to be TA forum readers anyway; it's more important to make a good impression with your early adopters than to just create name recognition even when it's negative.
I bet 3/4 of the people who have seen this thread have already forgot about it now xD I mean, I forgot about it the week after it was announced, and only came here jjust a week ago xD
I've been following since day one it was announced and only increase my excitement for the game each time I see the trailers and screenshots (over and over again). I've been doing nothing but praising this game to my friends and co-workers and my only issue with it is that I will not get to enjoy this masterpiece on the iPad. Which isn't Pixelbite's fault for me being to poor to afford one...
What caught me was that the cars looked like toys, and the environment was so realistic. There were also hidden shortcuts, and you can also damage the environment too. Oh yeah, and the serious drifting.
When I was born my mother said to my father that a day would come when I would pay more attention to a driving game on a portable gaming device than a girl. I still await that day...
is there going to be multiplayer? and the controls better be good, because they look really weird and awkward in the trailers...
Always asked...first post states there is multiplayer. And as far as we can tell going by the trailers, yes those are the controls.
