I have to wonder if the 14th was really written in stone or just an estimate (like the game was submitted on the 7th so it SHOULD be ready by the 14th).
One turn option in the game is, discard your six tiles and draw six new ones. As you have two actions, theoretically you could do this twice, thus relativizing the luck of the draw.
This sounds too cool then as I love deep card/tile based strategy games! I love how, like many good RK games, there will always more actions you'd like to take than you can in a single turn and it is simply a matter of trying to figure out which two actions will benefit your situation the most this given turn. I also love how it pulls that RK classic maneuver of being graded not by your best but LEAST scoring component so that all components must be in top form!
I actually talked to codito on facebook and they said that when they submitted the game on nov. 7th that they requested a nov. 14th release date but it didn't sound like it had been approved yet when I heard from them on friday. So unless it got approved in the last 48hrs I doubt we'll see it tonight but more likely codito might just let it drop as soon as it's approved if it gets approved later in the week. This is of course barring any unforeseen problems.
So, let's keep fingers crossed T&E is definitely vintage Knizia, a deep and sometimes unforgiving game (which my group refuses to play because it's so 'mean'). Been waiting a long time for an iOS version, as my T&E box is just collecting dust lately because of its steeper learning curve.
Well it looks like all of coditos games are on sale today, so this would lead me to believe that T&E should be releasing soon(like hopefully in the next 24hrs).
Yes, we're still hoping for today (Mountain time zone) but no we haven't heard from Apple yet. We will let you know as soon as we know! Here's a quick feature list to keep your anticipation high: Universal app tested on iOS 3.1.3 through iOS 5.0 Glorious graphics for iPad, Retina, and original iPhone/iPod screens Immersive Persian theme and music, or play your own iPod music Full tutorial and in-game hints Support for 3 modes of play: - Solo play with varying degrees of AI difficulty - "Pass and play" with 2 to 4 local human players with or without AI - Turn-based multiplayer using Game Center Hang in there! (We're dying here too, if it makes you feel any better...)
Yes, although iOS 5 is required for Game Center multiplayer. Not sure if the 2G can run iOS 5... We have tested the main game on a 2G though and it works great!
That's great news, because on my train rides I most often play on the Touch, when online play is out of the question anyway Thank you! I'm sure there are quite a number of players who will appreciate this.
What is the price going to be and are you going to let it drop on the market as soon as it's approved?
The game will be $5.99 (universal) and we will let it drop if it's approved today or tomorrow. After that, we may need to delay a day or two for marketing purposes. Sometime this week should be the worst case scenario!
