I contacted HBS and they told me that they are still waiting to hear from Apple.

Glad they finally replied. I've been asking them on twitter, FB a little while back and there was no response.

At least it's been submitted, that's something right?

Sorry for posting, I know every time I see this come up I think it's the game's release.

They told that as soon as it is approved by Apple, it will be released on the appstore.

Unless all the other apps recently submitted took weeks to be approved, there is something strange going on for this game to be taking this long for the approval process.

I have a really bad hunch that Apple is going to reject it.

Agree... It's too long now... It's a popular title and always to games like this they are quicker on the approval stuff... Maybe it got reject for some reason or the plan was to be out this week with the new iOS but when they learn for IB3 didn't want the competition... I'm looking forward from day one but all these delays makes me not too enthusiast anymore.

It'll come out when it comes out. I don't think it got rejected.

From our timeline, it got submitted in around the 12th, barely a week ago.

If it isn't here by next week, then we can go into full panic mode.

After Summoner Wars and Agricola no approval delay can shock me.

They don't owe you any updates, especially when they are probably as in the dark as you are. You'll know it's out when it shows up in the app store.

Oh, and HBS was very forthcoming about the PC release, so I think you are unfairly judging them.

True, but he doesn't owe them good word-of-mouth either. No one has the luxury of just selling a product anymore. You must sell an experience to stand above competition. No, you don't have to like that.

We expect companies to bend over backwards and be at our beck and call. Just because we are connected on Twitter, Facebook, etc doesn't mean we are owed immediate responses.

None of us know what is going on behind their doors, they've updated us every time they have info, so freaking out or bad mouthing them for not kowtowing to us endlessly badgering them.

It'll drop when it drops. Reasons like this are why companies despise giving release dates. Had they not said anything about the submission, we wouldn't have been eagerly anticipating anything. But because they wanted to keep us in the loop, we are now holding that against them?

We all need to drop our entitled attitudes.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who can step in the shoes of the developers for a few minutes and see how unreasonable some people can be.

All they have said officially is that it will be cheaper than the Steam version since it's not going to have the level editor, so less than $19.99USD. My guess would be that it will cost around $15USD.

Totally agree with that, i do not expect or want information every day, but no i don't understand them, that they are not doing more/some marketing for their own game.
Its in their interest, more than mine actually.
They were equally rubbish about the steam launch, and yes i do understand that they are programmers and not market men, but it would do them no harm at all, to be a bit more forthcoming about things.

    - if its been submitted, then why is the price a secret ? are we not going to buy it if we know the price a week in advance ?

    Doesn't seem very secretive.
I want this game. If it was out today, I'd buy it. In a week, I'll still buy it.
Maybe people should untwist their panties and be patient. Apple has had a big job with releasing iOS 7 and getting approvals through for updates for pre existing apps to come into line with the new OS. It'll be approved whenever it is.
No amount of moaning and crying is going to change that.
HBS has done a decent job of keeping people in the loop as to where they're at. I'm sure they will continue to update as they know more.

    Thank you, this.

Xcom had no more marketing and really surprised everyone when it hit the App Store. Kotor had exactly zero marketing, just popped into the App Store with barely a fart and both have done amazingly well.

Problem is that we expect endless updates. Why? They said it was submitted, everyone knows that they can't somehow work magic to force the game to hit the store. It's in apple's hands. Maybe the iOS 7 launch delayed things, but whatever the case, HBS submitted, told us they submitted and said they would update us once they had more info.

Clearly they don't have more info.

Wanting them to post saying "I have no further info" is stupid. Plain and simple.

I wish they had told us nothing now, at least it would have prevented this panty-twisted insanity.
