Report Mythicals that you think are too weak for the level they require, I'll check them. Also report too powerful ones It's hard to find opponent for PVP right now, due to problems with game center that Apple made
Hello Manbat, sure I will make the list tomorow Regarding pvp, I have a sugestion. One of the reasons that I havent played a single pvp match, is that I need to be stuck on the matchmaking screen waiting for an opponent! For that to work, only if there were hundreds of players up for pvp, witch is very hard to get, specially since they also will have to be stucked on that screen, witch is reeeaaaly boring. The perfect cenario for me would like this: 1 - I want to pvp 2 - I enter the normal game with the char that I want to use for pvp 3 - I click on some kind of checkbox, maybe in the character screen, or the settings screen thats say something like "I want to PVP now" 4- I KEEP PLAYING THE GAME normally doing my quest, checking free market etc, while the match making is working in background trying to find an opponent. 5- As soon as an opponent is found, a pop up ask me if a wana fight now! YES: Both get teleported to the pvp arena, NO, I stay on my game. I would for sure be up for ALOT of pvp if were something like that I know apple provites some custom matchmaking interface API, ive developed some stuff with it, is faaar from great but, should do the job! Well, this is just a suggestion But I reaaly think it would spice things up alot! Regards! Ps. Got lvl50 today and A friend gave me an INSANE lvl50 mythical bow! (whiffleforce) Wooa!
Well, I still think that it needs some balancing, otherwise it's too much depended on luck and/or the auction house. I can only speak for my archer. My best gear is mostly bought from the auction house. Why? I'm in the swamps at LvL 26 and the drops there are around level 7? Lol? How is someone supposed to clear that area with level ~7 equip? I was lucky to buy a helmet from AH otherwise those archers there were one shoting me. It's easier now but those drops are totally off and they already were since the beginning. Another suggestion would be to modify the range of fast shooting ranged enemies or lessen their dmg output. Make it shorter maybe. Another one would be that while playing archer, let me aim at the closest enemy where the analog stick is directed at. If I want to kill an deadly archer first it doesnt help if my character is aiming at a slow walking enemy first whilst that archer is killing me from far off. Saying that this game is perfectly balanced just because you got lucky or invested in Diamonds to get gold is plain wrong.
And whats the problem in using the action house? Its there to do exactly that. The item level in this game does not count much, many times a lvl10 item may be better than some lvl20 ones, and thats ok, the itens stats have alot of variation. Im lvl50 and I still drop Tons of lvl10/20 gear, and you can find gazilions on the action house for really low prices (purple ones for 1k to 3k). And the game GIVES YOU 3 cristals, (30k) so, they are giving you everything you need to acquire the equips you need without having to depend on them droping for you. The drops will only start to be relevant way later in the game, where you will than be getting itens to sell to lower lvl players (like yourself now) and once in a while, drop something relevant for you. Also in the late game, 90% of your gear will come from the gambler, that you will pay with money you make from selling junk at npc and lower lvl itens at the action house. I really dont see any point that needs balance on that matter. Now, regarding the enemy target, you can manually 'touch' the enemy you want to att, and your char will actually set it as main target and ignore the close ones
I invested in absolutely Zero Gems, and have used all the tools available to get gear. That means Gambling, a lot, for specific gear. I sometimes restart games until The items I want are there for gamble. If they're to expansive I also prefer to gamble for the lower tiers as well, a good way to save some money. Then checking daily the Auction House, because you can find some ridiculously cheap and excellent items sometimes. Then monsters drops, and then Guild's rewards. What I'm saying is, if you're not using the tools that the game is giving you, then yes sure, the game will be difficult because your gear will blow. But you can achieve the current content with very little effort in gearing I can assure you. But guys, it happened to me as well near the end-game. I kept getting shot in the face by archers for 300 hp. So I said to myself " hey maybe my defense sucks after all, lets gamble for gear". Then I got some + armor and resists rolls, and blasted through the content. Please guys for the sake of this game and the community, don't ask for balance because content is difficult. Ask for balance when a skill or an ability is weak or useless. Weapon throw for example, there's something that should be addressed :0 What's bad for a game like this is when skills are not used, or are vastly inferior. This reduces the available options in builds, as well as gearing options. Don't dumb down the game by trying to reduce monsters power. If you die too much, you need to gear up. And to gear up requires you to grind some monsters, get some gold, check the auction house and gamble, always gamble. Nekko, please post your stats and current level so we can guide you with your character!
I dont want to rely on other peoples overpriced items! You must be using another auction house then me, cuz mine doesnt have "gazillions" of items. In each category there is maybe one, two or no items at all for my level and those are mostly weaker then the ones I'm already wearing. I bought an legendary bow for 35k gold so that was were my Diamonds were gone! See what I mean? I didnt dropped a decent bow in AGES! Well, I could have farming one for dozens of hours without any real progress and without knowing if one will drop at all. Tried infinite dungeon as well but nothing worthwile so far. I dont want to farm hours over hours for a !decent! bow, which feels like I'm heading for a legendary. About locking an enemy...They are placed off-screen mostly! How do I tap them? That whole fiasco wouldnt be that bad if there werent those ####ed up timers to respawn once I run out of lives. Buy the ad removal and 3rd skill slot to get the full premium experience, they said. Aha. And no, I dont want to play another character. I never had to in similar games. Where do I gamble actually? My char is LvL 25, almost 26. 35,143,40 Armor 24.5 (could be an issue, but there isnt anything worthwile in AH, nor did any of those low level drops gave me anything decent) Resistance 43 Attack 546.25 I see that armor could be an issue but since there are more magic based enemies, I dont want to trade my magical defense at all. Would be worse then before. Getting good stuff with equally good stats is a real problem for me atm. Just to make this clear. I dont have any probs with killing enemies fast. I have almost 200% Critical dmg so I use one of the first skills which provide a 100% chance to be critical to kill elites in like two shots. I dont have any issues with several mobs at once. Where I do have an issue is when someone is shooting at me from off-screen, mostly archers with high projectile speed. Mostly several ones at once. This is a broken game mechanic IMO! Like I said above, it gets frustrating when I have to wait once I died three times, which happens pretty fast in the actual areas.
I have reached the gambler And have some decent gear now which trivializes everything I've encountered so far. Sorry, but if I barely get through content due to drops which are far off until a point where suddenly a gambler shows up which gives you the gear which you already >should< have found way before and which then makes all those areas where you barely got through just a couple seconds ago a walk in the park...that's not balanced. Not by any means, no. Just no.
Ok, thats a good point. Thanks for this feedback, I'll test it myself soon, and do necessary changes. Edit. Nekku is 100% right here. I just saw this in the code. Gambling item levels are too high right now. They are based on character level, rather then vendor level, but still, too high.
But I want my items based on my characters level, that's the whole point. If anything, the items dropped by monsters are way, way too low lvl. I never get anything higher than lvl 20. And Nekku hopefully you were able to up those stats because to have almost zero defense. Here are two of my characters. They're higher lvl but still you shouldn't be anywhere close to 30 armor/resists at your lvl, aim for 50+ . http://imgur.com/a/dKnHT Drops lvl seem to be off but not with the gambler, but that's just me I guess.
That is what I said the whole time... >.> They should be way higher since the beginning cuz the way it is now, there is no steady progression in gear leveling. Oh well, I finally felt accomplished for going through shit while it feels less frustrating overall and now it gets nerfed. If you're at it, fix the drops in early/mid game please...unless you want that for "whatever" reason. Ye, thanks, I was finally able to roll some decent gear. Now many enemies dont do any damage at all.
Nekku, your bigest mistake was trowing all you gold in a terrible bow, just because it was Mythical. I can link you at least 4 bows NOW in the action house, that are better and cost 1/3 of the price you paid, but they are yellow/purple. Action house by the way is super UNDERPRICED. As i said, look for yellow/purple itens. You can easilly finish the game with lvl10-15 good yellow gear, just look for decent Armor and Resist, and put damage as a secondary need. If you take zero or low damage, you can hit enemies a little longer and win anyway. This is a defense based game, you clearly only noticed that too late. I still cant see any need to make this easy game easier.
I just bought a lvl 40 Mystical Belt of the Barbarian King for 5k. Yes, I will also say that the AH is currently very underpriced.
I've been shopping the AH several times a day for the last 3 days, looking for any gear with armor over 3. Nothing but shields and lvl 30+ mythicals. Stop saying the AH is flooded with good, cheap gear. It's mostly overpriced lvl 5 yellows and purples, and there's almost no +armor stuff because it's getting bought quickly.
Ok, got tired of arguing this, here are SOME examples, maybe people just don't know what to look for.... great shoulders...500 golds http://forums.toucharcade.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=98051&stc=1&d=1452107383 amazing boots.... 700 gold http://forums.toucharcade.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=98052&stc=1&d=1452107383 Ok belt....250 gold http://forums.toucharcade.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=98053&stc=1&d=1452107383 Ok boots....250 gold http://forums.toucharcade.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=98054&stc=1&d=1452107383 This are some great/Ok gear for a sub25, with a set as decent as this, you may even finish the damn game (in like "hard" mode) or at least make enough money to upgrade at the gambler...and beat at the game in the "easy" mode... The End.
dude I searched a few times a day and that stuff wasn't there. It's not a reliable place to get gear. That being said, I blew 2-3 crystals gambling and upped my armor from 25-39 or so. Damage took a hit but instead of dying in 1-3 hits I just facetank everything and take no damage. Whatever. The armor stat is stupid and antiquated to me. IMO you guys have no idea what you're talking about when it comes to balancing difficulty. A 50% boost to one stat shouldn't make the difference between instant death and god mode. Do you know how hard it would be for me to swap gear to create a DECENT challenge instead of unfair speedy bolts of death and mind numbingly boring? ideally a game should be in the middle, or if you want a hard game, make it fair and don't allow people to God-mode so easily.
If you want challenge, get that lvl12/15 gear, and try to finish the game with it =). Like in any rpg, you can go right to the boss and try to win, or you can sit around, kill mobs, get lvls, get stronger, and then, face the boss and win easily...this is the same thing, but with equipaments.... Enjoy!
You are, no we are, face tanking mobs only because the current content is not end-game. Infinite dungeons are broke, therefore any complaints about balance is irrelevant. The current content is not meant to be farmed over and over again by lvl 40 characters with 90 armor. I'd rather discuss skills and class balance, than content and difficulty balance. Because there's nothing to say about it, it's easy and it's meant to be that easy. I'm absolutely certain that my face tank train wreck Mage that pimps 92 armor will get destroyed in infinite dungeons. See, is armor too godly? No, because at some point, enemies will still two shots you Don't balance anything, wait for the patch. And please tell me the patch is being reviewed by Apple?
