Happy to help! Sorry if my earlier surprise disappointment initially sounded like harsh criticism. I'm an extreme stickler for the finer details, and I pick up things like that with eagle-eye-like clarity. Anyway, having now played through a couple of levels, I'm loving the game, slight grammar issue aside! Although I am having big problems trying to swing up and onto a platform that is higher than my grappling hook. Like trying to get the bonus coins in the tutorial level for example... I eventually managed to do it, but it was more by sheer luck than any real skill. What's the trick? I've got a feeling it's going to be a necessity in later levels, rather than merely for bonus content...
No way to disable the checkpoints, but they get progressively rarer as you unlock new levels. The intro level dialog won't be coming back in for SQH, but we'll probably go for in-level dialog again for the next game. Seems to work a little better than in-shop dialog, for the most part. It was worth trying, though. This doesn't really come up too much again, though it's easier to do on wide platforms. The tutorial level coins, on their tiny platform, are designed to be accessed via rocketjump. Off the top of my head, even wide platforms like that with hidden coins are designed to be attained through rocketjump. RE: Asking for a more advanced tutorial + RE: What do the Video Icons in OpenFeint under some names mean: These questions are interrelated. Someone already guessed what we're doing: We're attempting to do an observation mode, ala Jet Car Stunts. Possibly in update 2 or 3, but not sure yet. I really want to get it in the game, because it's fun to see how people at different skill levels play the game.
AAAAHHHH, it's so addictive. I needed sleep badly last night, but what can you do. But seriously, how is my best score only like #90 on the scoreboards? I need to practice.
The prequel wasn't my cup of tea. Somehow, this feels completely different. The Avalanche mode alone is a complete game. AWESOME and highly addictive. Thanks to the devs, with this game you completely nailed it.
I was a late comer to Hook Champ but fell in love with it instantly. I was following Super QuickHook since it's first announcement. I thought a racing avalanche game would have been fun all by itself (which it definitely is!) but the normal playing mode is outstanding too. Is everything appearing in the shop all their is to buy in the game? It seems like a major lack in the hats department when compared to Hook Champ. Great job on the game guys. Fantastic. Anyone planning on making a secrets FAQ? Or drawing out the maps to find the quickest routes? Or does that have to be me?
for me it would ruin the satisfaction of earning the secrets in beta we have already found all the secrets but we don't really tell where it is, only the distance % according to the pedometer
I bought Hook champ some months ago , i played a lot of it , but i didnt fell in love with it. This one is WAY WAY better if you ask me. Instant classic for me. good job rocketcat!
To be honest, I didn't really like the new graphical style until I played it. It kind of reminds me of Earnest Evans! The avalanche mode is going to obsess me for a long, long time. Incredible game!
Damn, those secrets are hard to find, even getting all the coins is a formidable task by itself. Now I am stuck unlocking levels, because I need 2000 meters in avalanche mode, where my farthest was about 1200. This game is way to addicting.
Lol I feel you, I was like that @ 1 am yesterday, the secret of avalanche for the less skilled players like us, is getting lucky with the coins .
Alright... I'm stuck/confused. To unlock Frost Road it says I need to buy 6 Items in Shop. I've bought plenty of items, hats, hooks, and otherwise. It says I had 50% complete, so I went to the store and bought 3 booster items, (Punching Glove, Slide Pants, and the Vacuum thing), and I went back, and it's still saying 50%. I've beaten every possible level so far, and I need to unlock this level to continue. Any help?
