Because hats are awesome. C'mon, you get to wear a tiny top hat if you buy the game this weekend. That's just awesome. The hats add a ton of personality and humor to the game, as well as let you have a touch of cutsomization while keeping the characters like the developers wanted them. A full-blown customization system wouldn't work well for games such as this, but being able to change one item, such as the hats, really adds a ton of replay value. I spend a lot of time trying to unlock those hats.

hard to unlock burn alley, because that endless mode is difficult, is there something what im missing? im stucck. ;s
Thank you guys so much for allowing me, pretty much an Avalanche Mode Only player, the ability to earn and buy all of the items from the shop. Too many other games will either block your access to key items unless you've reached some arbitrary point in the Campaign game or make it so while you can compete for highscore in an Endless Mode like Avalanche, there is no way to earn money for new equipment by only playing that mode.
hats Hey guys. Now i'm a big hat fan, so I rushed to the nearest store that sells those iTunes cards. Upon buying the game I immediately launched it to find no actual Exclusive hats. I'm wondering how to unlock this, cause I'm not running with WiFi at the moment. Thanks in advance, Lovin' the game so far!
I don't have the game yet, so I'm just basing my answer on what has been posted in this thread, but as I understand it, the exclusive hats are unlocked for purchase in the store. You still need to buy them using coins earned in the game.

it's a tiny top hat and a cat mask they should be in the shop and available for purchase at $1 and $55 if memory serves.
Hey again Once again thank you for the reply. But i'm still not seeing those hats EDIT: I'm starting to think you'll need OpenFeint just to activate them. And knowing that publishers often use a Purchase Date to activate some things, think of AstroFarm or F.A.S.T. in which you wouldn't have to buy the Premium mode after they switched to Free-With-In App-Purchasing.
Im pretty sure you need to have an Internet connection for the exclusive hats to be available for purchase in the store.
Really enjoying this game. However, I am still having a problem with updating my times on a level. It always saves my first run through and no matter how many times I beat it, the time will not change. What am I doing wrong?
So besides Avalanche mode, I notice that my scores after the initial run through a level do not save. Am I missing something here?
are you getting any coins? if you don't get any coins i think that you don't get a score, even if you get a great time
Yeah this happened to me too. But after doing another course or two I checked back and it had updated. BTW I can't find the secret on "journey to the inn" and it's bugging me. Can someone give me a hint?
Nope, bought them all. No upgrades yet. They all had it so that I could buy the LVL 1 items, so I guess that's a purchase.
