I was wondering, what are the nightmares some of the in store items require?

That's really strange... No issues ever cropped up during the beta in regards to the store. You've completed the first few levels you say? The only thing I can think of is to try reinstalling the game...

You can open the shop and the animation will play in the background but sadly the browse exit and chat bottons do not work and no list of items appear requiring me to exit to the home screen and restart the app to continue playing. It is a bigger issue because i can not purchase 6 items from the shop to continue to play and unlock levels :( and yes i did try a reinstall but it is nice to know that this problem is not widespread.

However i must say i am madly in love with this game and even if the problem is not fixed it will remain on my ipod strictly for avalanche mode alone :D

Edit: Did another re-install, all fixed :D

Players will have to make maps/FAQs for now. Although, we're going to put in an "observation" system ala Jet Cat Stunts, as soon as we can. The framework for that's already in, right now. I guess people will still need to make secrets FAQs, though, as secrets don't give points.

Oh, and each update will have MORE HATS. Update hats also tend to be way fancier/more expensive.

    Hats are so great.

Don't mess with me, man. Pizza Rolls 4 Lyfe.

That's odd. As far as I know, you just need to buy 6 non-hat, non-hook items. Upgrades count, too. Just not "cosmetic items" like hats/hooks... is anyone else having this problem?

You need wifi access for the Bonus Hat Check to work, yeah.

It's a combination of time/coins, with coins actually being more important. We should have made this more clear, somewhere... maybe in the tutorial?

Try getting some upgrades and see if that fixes things. We'll look into this.

We never tested the game on a 1st gen touch... I don't even know if we can support that.

That sounds like a bug. Will look into it.

I think they work without OpenFeint, just wi-fi access is needed.

Also, we need more stars and written reviews! I mostly count on the Toucharcade and Twitter guys to even star the game. Most people, that are just on iTunes, tend to not do this.

Let's go higher! Harass your friends to get the game! Doing this not only works, I also think it's the main force that drives sales. Especially on a mobile platform.

Finding secrets does not affect your score.

The Nightmares are the 4 locked levels at the end of the level select screen. It's supposed to be a long-term goal, though I think we may go back and tweak some of the difficulty of the unlocks. Or at least provide alternate ways to unlock things.

Lol, Golden Bull took me days to beat, 2000 Avalanche was a couple of tries.

Reviews now updated on the SQH site.

Yeah, I think we'll look into alternate unlock methods for the later levels. I mostly just didn't want people to have to face the nightmare levels if they weren't ready for them.

After all this 3d hoo-ha at this years E3, and hearing about NES and SNES games being shown, most of you will hate me for saying this, but I would love to see Super Quick Hook in 3d, even if all it was was graphical flourish. Hope the system comes out with a downloadable content scheme similar to the app store so companies like Rocketcat can jump on board and make money through a second stream.

Although it is hard to tell if the 3ds's bottom screen could comfortably handle the controls for Super Quick Hook

Just bought the game, seems like fun.
I have a question..... on the first level (journey to the inn) I earned some money to buy the ability to recharge the rocket boots power. However, I use them to get the coins as I pass through but the boots do not recharge to pass the final gap unless I fall into the pit a couple of times. Is it supposed to be like that? Seems a bit stupid if it is.....

I'm a minority for saying the Golden Bull level was a lot harder than 2000 on Avalanche? I doubt that ;)

I really like it that the last levels are hard to unlock.
Otherwise, you would have finished the normal mode in a couple of minutes!
This (it's called challenge) + Avalanche make me come back.

Do different hooks do anything at all exept looks? I like the rocket cat hat. Can you outline some of the updates and can i get hints on the big 4th update.

It's supposed to be like that, I believe. You can upgrade it to a level where it'll recharge slowly in real time, though I forget which one.

Just tried Avalanche mode and loving it. However, I guess I'm not very good..... if I fall down a couple of levels I can't find a way to hook back up to a higher plane without using rocket boots. Is it possible?
