The graphics, level design, game mechanics are all realy good (as in hook champ) . However i have major gripe. On no game ever created or to ever be created is it acceptable for a prerequisite of a level (accept maybe ONE very exclusive level) to be "beat a developers time" never mind beat 3 different times for 4 different levels. Big problem!

The developer times really aren't that difficult to beat, as long as you get all the coins and can make it through the level in one go you will probably do it. And if you can't do that on those early levels, you really aren't ready for the later ones.

Third level starts the slow recharge in real time. Second level makes every time you die give you an entire rocketjump back. Fourth level makes you regen a jump every 30 seconds.

And yeah, we're definitely making the unlock progression a little easier. I don't really mind if people can unlock everything super fast. The idea behind the tougher unlocks was just to make sure people were ready for the harder levels. Expect tweaks to the unlocks in the first update.

i have not tried yet. However i was under the impression that the developer times would be difficult actual developer scores. Maybe i'm wrong. And i wasn't commenting on my ability to beat them because i was pretty good at hook champ.

Glad to hear it. Some hardcore swingers (lulz) may find blasting through dev times very easy but I personally have only managed one or two so far, even though I've cleared all the beginning and intermediate levels.

Ah, they seem difficult at first, but the only hard part is finding the best route that gives you all the coins. Hook Champ had dev scores too, im sure you beat them all. Just give the game a go, exploring out the optimal route is the fun of the game.

I’m sorry, but Golden bull was actually piece of cake. I was doing coin runs in it, because it didn’t bore the crap out of me :)

The developer times are my times, with me intentionally stumbling a lot. I made sure each dev time was about 10 seconds under what I could get if I was trying hard. Also, each dev score had 100 points subtracted from it, so the dev times would provide about a 15 second mulligan.

Get everything fully upgraded, especially rocketboots. Watch for markers indicating where coins might be found. If you slip up after about 1 min 20 secs, rocketboot immediately to try and recover. Don't panic if the avalanche is right up on you. Persevere.

    Hook on.

Yeah, Hook Champ dev scores were supposed to be really easy to beat, because they were a huge source of money.

Progression Changes in the next update will be as follows:

    - Changed "buy 6 items" to "buy 6 item upgrades". Nothing was changed here, just made the wording a lot clearer.
    - Made Deadman Path (first nightmare level) require you to beat Ember March, AND to get 2000 points in Avalanche.
    - All other nightmares just require you to beat the previous nightmare now. Beating developer scores just unlocks new items in the shop, only.
    - Next update's new levels will require you to beat 2 nightmare levels
    - Next update's new nightmare level requires you to beat the 3rd new level, and the previous nightmare level (Ember March)
    - 2nd update will require you to beat 4 nightmares for new levels.
    - 3rd update will require you to either beat all Nightmares, OR get 8000 points in Avalanche Mode. This is to unlock an incredibly difficult version of Avalanche Mode. This update is geared towards masters of the game.
    - 4th update (This will be a total mystery until it's out, if I can help it) will have some miniscule unlock requirement. Maybe "Beat Silent Well". This update is geared towards everyone.

God, I'd love if the top 10 would get platinum :(.

So far I've only landed on 7th in every level I've tried seriously @.@

I'm one of the few that skipped Hook Champ, but picked this up on a whim (and I'm glad I did - great game!) However, that being said, I'm wondering if I could get a bit of help from some of you guys here.

I've actually managed to complete all of the easy levels so far (until you need 2000 on avalanche), but I've yet to uncover any of the secrets - not even the one in the first level (Journey to the Inn.) Can someone help me out and let me know what I should be looking for as far as the secrets go?

I also have no clue how you're supposed to find, much less get all the coins, but I figure I'll play some more before I ask for help on that issue.

secrets are pretty easy to discover although i must confess to needing a few myself. look out for unusual artifacts or scenery in a level, just passing through them will unravel a secret.

    Lol

Anyone tried jumping into the pool of albino alligators? Absolutely great XD.

On a side note, are the exclusive hats stored on that copy of the game or on your openfeint account? I'd hate to switch to a new device and lose my precious hats...
