I forbid you from playing SQH till you beat the last Hat levels Just do it dude.. As for all of my OF friends, just thought I'd let you know that I've beaten all of your guys' Avalanche scores [except Vester, bastard] ..Messed up last sec and got caught up.
yeah and now go for the lava levels. e.g. atm there are a whole lot of 6 people that have beaten the dev score on burn alley. i'm not quite there yet, but i'm close. not as hard as the later hook champ levels but the average gamer will not get these dev times... EDIT: let me rephrase that. 7 people now have the burn alley dev score...
Yeah, in a previous post, I said we're totally just making the dev times unlock special items in the shop. Right now you can get the Hermit, a new hat for him, and then three special grappling hooks for beating all the developer scores as of now. More rewards as we put in more levels. By the third update, they'll be huge rewards for completely mastering the game. At the same time, we're making it so the levels themselves are pretty easy to unlock. Just beat the previous level, in almost every case. Unlocking the Nightmare levels will just involve beating the last normal lava level, and getting a 2000 point score in Avalanche.
Ugh wtf bro. It feels so great when you finally do beat it, makes all the deaths worth it lol. Beat.It.Nao.
ah ok, that sounds nice. i just have to get the two other lave dev scores to unlock the current last level, but i have absolutely no problem with that. i welcome the challenge and when i'm done with collecting everything, i can go for those highscores.
Thats just not possible at this point. I'm so engrossed - I havent even spent any money on the appstore today
I didn't wanna bring this out but..If you don't beat Silver by the end of the day, I'm removing you from my OF friends! []
You get store credit for: 1. Beating a level for the first time. Later levels give more. 2. Collecting coins, in either the levels or Avalanche Mode. 3. Getting distance in Avalanche Mode. The best way to get money in the game is to beat all the levels you can, and then go to Avalanche Mode and try to go for distance while also getting as many coin secrets as you can.
Not sure if we're OF friends (I'll send a request if not), but it sounds like you're itching for a challenge. I will oblige. Sadly, I'm not on the high score list right now because of beta complications but plan to concentrate on Avalanche! soon. Also, Super QuickHook is a good game.
Hey...awesome game, truly lives up to my high expectations following the amazingness that was hook champ. Just wondering though, will we see an iPad version, maybe with the ability to see more of the level arond you, it looks ok and all scaled up, but not as nice as it would if it was made for the iPad. Also, could you implament a way of uploading my progress through open feint?having to replay the game twice on both iPhone and iPad is a bit of a pain. Thanks
OpenFeint Save/Loads = Next Update An iPad version would still be scaled up around double, though you'd still be able to see a little further than on the iPhone. Also, we wouldn't make seperate versions for the iPad, would just be universal. Finally, any iPad changes are contingent on me getting an iPad.
Kepa can we get offical confirmation that Theodore "Gramps" Hooker, who of course is still adventurin' will be DLC in this game?
Any chance on getting the control arrows to be able to be switchable? i am a lefty and find myself trying to hook with my left finger, which causes me to go backwards most of the time. Still an enjoyable game, but making it an option for those of us with coordination issues would go a long way.
He's not one of the planned future characters. 2 more free characters are coming (as hard-to-get rewards), and then we're doing 4 DLC characters in the same patch. That will most likely be the only character patch, unless there's a huge, unanimous demand for more DLC characters. That'd be up to Apple, really. We're submitting in the next couple days.
If you're talking about what I think you are, there's already a thing in Settings to switch the walk arrows to the left side. Controls: Reverse, I believe. Between "Default" and "Hook Champ".
Finally read through the whole thread. Along with everyone else, I love the game. Been playing for a total of about 8hours . I do have some minor quibbles that aren't really knocking on the game itself but rather how dissimilar it is from Hook Champ. I cannot get used to how the hook does not pull you in all the way as it does in Hook Champ. It messes me up having a set amount of space between me and the ceiling and messes me up when I get too close. But I'm sure it'll wear off eventually. Another thing, I really love the exploration aspect of the game but I wish there were some sort of chaser levels where there are no secrets to find but just just you being chased (by the gnome king?)with coins to collect. This is mainly because it doesn't look like you guys at RocketCat are going to update Hook Champ with new levels. All in all though, I applaud RocketCat for this wonderful game and I plan to spend more time on thanks to the awesome Avalanche mode .
