I'm actually loving this game a lot more than I thought I would. I hadn't played Hook Champ in a while due to playing a bunch of other games, but I just played it again to pass the time waiting for this game's release, and I'm switching between both now. This game is so fun though. I'm currently trying to get 2k points in Avalanche mode (which I seem to be terrible at...), and I just can't beat it. I feel like I'm going slower than I did in Hook Champ, but that might be because I've only unlocked up to the Ice Pick hook so far. I gotta go back and beat some Dev times. Btw, which levels were the Nightmare levels? I want that mustache hat. And feel free to add me on Openfeint. Username's in my sig.
Love this game, you can play for 1 hour and it'll feel like 20 minutes. I applaud you Kepa and the rest of RocketCat Team! To anyone who wants to add me my openfeint is gatorsxrule
They are the levels that are unlocked by beating the developers scores, though in the upcoming update they requirement is being changed to: 2k in avalanche, beating ember march. That unlocks the first then the subsequent will be unlocked as you beat the previous, which sounds a lot easier than beating the developers scores! But until that update ill just keep beating the scores
so... journey to the inn? Secret? Am I missing something blatantly obvious? Other secrets have been easy, this one not so much.
This one got me too, though its easy to get to once you know where it is. Remember the section where the 5 coins are? Rocket boost a couple of times and you'll see a cave towards the left, the secret is in there.
I actually like how the games are dissimilar. It provides a reason to buy both games, on their own merits. However, a chaser level would be pretty cool. There's Avalanche and, in a month or so, Eruption, though. We're #26 in Top Paid. If we were just one higher, we'd be in the top 25 on the iphone list! Can we make it? Maybe if everyone here forces their friends to get it, in the next hour or so.
Utter fail on my part, i did not realize i could scroll down in the settings. thanks for the "quick" response, the dev communication with customers going on here on touch arcade is seriously amazing, this is the buisness model that will surely be adapted to all facets of industry, leading to a drop in usesless products in general. Um, is there some secret to getting the Secret Finder Gold achievement? I have gotten all of the secrets in all of the levels, and TBH, I just created this account to ask you, Kepa. And also, is there anyway to open the locked door yet, or will that come in another update? Also, this is by far the best iPod touch game I have ever played, second being Hook Champ. Rocketcat Games is just amazing...
I can't help but think he has a bit of a point. I think the exploration is great, and appeals to many more people. But at the same time, a LITTLE might not hurt. I assume this wouldn't work into your current plans for new stuff, and it would kinda be a weird shoe horned in solution... But how cool would 'boss' levels be? You do the three levels, maybe beat the scores, find the secrets or something... then the 'boss' of that area gets pissed at you for ruining his zone. And chases you! I dunno, it could be neat.
Including the Nightmare levels? I haven't unlocked them yet so I don't even know if they have secrets, but I'm assuming they do.
The locked door is foreshadowing. Some of the other secrets are foreshadowing, too. So yeah, it won't do anything ever, it's just a hint of things to come. Secret Finder Gold isn't really in yet, because not all the secrets are in yet. The next 9 levels or so will put the remaining achievements in the game. After that, we're done with achievements, but not with levels and unlockables.
@Kepa Ah, I see, thanks for clearing that up. Now I want the update even more >_< Thank you very much for responding so quickly! And I can't wait for that Eruption mode you were talking about, even though I always die on the lava levels lol
kepa, can you do me a huge favor and explain in simple terms how OF save will know we were day 1 buyers for the 2 extra hats? I'm really nervous about upgrading to iPhone 4 and losing these hats forever!!
Awesome game!! I got one friend to buy it, I'll try and get my girlfriend to buy it (that'll be a tough one...) and I'll pimp it as best I can at work.
OF Save backup will let you back your save up to your OF account. Then you can load it whenever, as long as you're on the same OF account. Even if you're on a different device. It'll preserve your day 1 hats and so on.
Gaaah, where are these gnomes everyone's raving about? I've played for several hours now, gotten all the levels but one - and I have yet to see a single gnome.
