I can safely say that the developer scores are preparing you somewhat for the nightmare levels, but most definately for magma ruins. Completing that map in one run through is enough of an achievement but it definately has 2 very hard jumps/hooks that can make or break your run.
Ok Kepa said this--"The beat one nightmare/dev score over and over to unlock everything bug is fixed. We're not penalizing anyone who did this. There will be a check with future unlocks that make sure you actually did beat all the nightmares/dev scores to get them." Since i did the glitch to get the crystal hook and crown and i havent done the LEGIT requirements, will the update take away my hook and hat or is kepa referring to something else? ( assuming i wont do the legit requirments )
holy crap, avalanche mode has me hooked. on a side note, I still can't find those freaking gnomes for the life of me. but after playing it for another 10 hours or so, I'm sure I'll get it.
...There's gnomes to find? Oh geez. Fantastic game, guys. One-ups Hook Champ in just about every way, and that's saying something because Hook Champ is awesome. Already one of my favorites after just a weekend with it. Bravo.
Not only are there four gnomes, there's also a gnome home. Speaking of which, I now have platinums in every map and every currently attainable achievement! Of course during my secret-hunting endeavors some of my scores have slipped from the top 5... I'll have to work on those later!
Platinum is: -Collected all coins -Found all secrets -Beat the developer score -Have been in the top 5 of the global leaderboards for that level.
I don't believe it will take your purchased items away. They're just fixing the bug so it can't be done in the future. And yeah, Platinum is all secrets, all coins, beaten the dev score, and placed in the top 5 globally.
Gold on everything except Avalanche! Now to go for Platinum! ...Yeah... I love how I'm always thinking of ways to shave a little more off my times, like the fact that rocket boots>sliding>walking.
The game is cool and very frustrating at the same time. Its really hard, hook champ (lite) was easier, or...? Anyways, could imagine, that SQH could be exalted to Openfeint Godl status in near future *hehe*
A quick question: does anybody know what happens if two people get the exact same score and time on a level? Does the person who had that score+time first get the higher ranking?
There are three decimal places hidden on the scores. The odds of getting a tie down to three decimal places are pretty low.
