I may be a developer but I'm still a gamer. I love playing and discussing other iPhone games. My personal favourites include Spider, Cat Physics, Ragdoll Blaster and PvZ.
The levels have different names, but my point stands. It's 5 work days currently. We just pushed our update live yesterday.
Oh, looks like I was mistaken. Date Submitted : 02 June 2010 It's not in review yet, so maybe you guys were lucky. Spider's really good. There's not a lot of deep and original games on the iPhone. Spider stands out quite starkly. I've been playing Tilt to Live and Bit Pilot lately. Especially Bit Pilot. I love the control scheme and difficulty progression. Tilt to Live's updates are admirable, though I wish they'd provide a "quick-restart" option (letting you skip the 1...2...3...GO thing after dying). Hijacking my own thread.
Yeah, I could have sworn we submitted Monday. iTunes says it was submitted the 2nd of July, though. Weird.
Kepa, this Spider game you mentioned is The Secret of Bryce Manor, right? I was thinking about getting it, but wasn't really sure. If you like it, I'll definitely get it.
@MidianGTX Haha, it was mainly the price. Also, short little reviews usually don't give an accurate representation of a game (to me at least). Would you recommend it? Nevermind, I just bought it. Very interesting.
kepa it has been about a week and a half since i sent you my UDID to get my day 1 hats back, it still hasn't given me them, you said it would take a while, but how long?
Well you're still on schedule until tomorrow if you sent it Monday. The whole book scam probably slowed everyone down though.. On the note of developers playing games; I wouldn't trust a game developer who doesn't like to play games...! With that said I barely have time to play, but TF2's engi update and SC2 beta got some attention today. iDevices.. Mmm Small World, Pocket Creatures aaaand SQ:H. Gotta say you came up a bit short on the last levels though.. Hit a 1-3 space.. Repeat.. :-/ Where are the grand mazes and caves on the later levels?
Shouldn't have taken that long. Try sending it again? There may have been a typo in the first UDID that was sent, or something.
I was always curious about the first day hats too. I bought the game less than an hour after release and I never got them either. I am not going to raise a fuss about it, but if there is a quick fix to it, then I would indeed like to know about it.
I'm impressed by everyone getting scores in avalance over 4000 points I must say. That gameplay is a true bitch to master for me. My hiscore there is 4614 pts and it has taken my loads and loads of plays to get that far. I don't have too much trouble to place myself on the global scoreboards for the maps, but avalanche is truely hard. Any pointers on how to survive that snow, or should I focus on the usual suspects: avoid slack on the rope, don't touch the ground, get coins and get lucky?
Yeah Spider stands out to me as an excellent, original game that has some good depth. Tilt to Live I'm not as big a fan of, if only because I'm so terrible at it. Most of my friends love it and destroy my scores!
