Is there any chance we will see any Gamecenter implementation in Super Quickhook or your future games? I'm curious to where Rocketcat stands on whether Gamecenter is worth using versus Openfeint.
Not sure yet, to be honest. We're waiting to figure out whether or not Gamecenter supports the 3G and second gen ipod touch. Last we checked, it didn't.
The actual app of Gamecenter itself is not compatible with 3G and 2nd gen iPod touches, yes. I was under the impression that leaderboards, achievements, and the such in individual games could be applied however. Games like Flight Control and Angry Birds which are compatible with old hardware are getting GC achievements and updates next week when it comes out though. I may be missing something though.
i still enjoy this game and when i shifted over to iphone4 it totally transformed, no lag and clear as crystal visuals made this legendary game even more so! however, i wish the choice to have everything unlockable so easily could be reversed. from near impossible 100% coin and speed required to almost non existant challenge. 75% coins and a careful time would have made it not so frustrating but rewarding. still thats all imho ofc new game from RC, cant fuppin wait tbh!!
hey Kepa, if my memory serves me correctaly on update times, Update 3 should be released by tonight, or tomorrow at the latest, correct?
Yeah, I announced it on twitter but not here yet. The Update is "In Review". This usually (but not always) means that it'll be out in a day or so. It's hard to find a good balance for the unlock conditions, given people's different skill levels and the more casual audience of the iPhone. If you want a challenge, there's new rewards this update for getting every single achievement and developer score. This includes a "Masters Only" secret level. Yes, actually. We're just not doing the huge updates anymore, but we'll still be doing tweaks, bugfixes, and hats when we can.
Currently #2 on the Eruption leaderboard. Kepa: I still can't unlock Taking the Plunge. Due to the new secrets, this is unfortunately very, very relevant. I tried cratering myself in Eruption, Avalanche and the tutorial, and got nothing. HELP!
Eruption mode is pretty sweet already figured out the secret... Hint: it involves going left instead of right. Its pretty awesome once you actually do it too
Gnomey I have all the secret achievemnts and i got finder of secrets gold and i still dont have gnomey.
@Kepa I have all of the secrets and have unlocked the "Smilin' Shopkeep" hat, but cannot unlock Gnomey, just like the user above. I have the "Finder of Secrets Gold" Achievement, also. And I have another question, is the "Ultimate Hook Champ" achievement unlocked by beating all of the dev scores? I'm just curious. This is a great update, by the way!
Glitchies Uhh it says all the update maps are new even though i beat them. is that the same for everyone else?
