    Hey
I'm not sure, but I may have run into a bug? I was fighting a really tough (he was rated veteran when I first found him) monk on the first level of legend - I must have gone up against him like 20 times and run away each time he got me close to dead. Then the last time, I tried running away but couldn't - I swiped 4 or 5 times, but just stood there taking the beating till I was dead. Did he break my legs or something? :p

  3. You can only run away if you initiated the attack. If he attacked first, you're hosed.

I can't remember if I fixed it in 1.2 or not, but if you did initiate the attack and couldn't disengage, then I have fixed this for the update.

Since it's in review, I'd guess tonight or tomorrow. Seems like it generally takes Apple about a week to turn around an update.

Good to know, but I'm pretty sure I initiated (though I could be wrong - can't remember now).

Yeah, I fixed this one, but I think it must have been for the current update (can't remember). Anyway, it all works as expected now... or will, heh. ;)

Wow! That temple shield isnt just a rumor! :D I thought it would at least be in a vault but no, there it was lying on the ground on Floor 18. No more "Your barrel lid has been forged anew!" for me :D (and that has to be in my top 10 facepalm moments for SoF)

  10. Yep, that shield is a real life saver -- literally. Regeneration wherever you go. :)

Paul are you SURE you submitted this properly? The dev for Baseball Superstars 2010 got his update approved in 24 hours; this one has taken nearly a week .....

Just got my first temple shield, too --- out of how many dozen games I've played?? It's great, but I was fervently wishing to find this or the dragonscale shield on the iPad, rather than the iPhone.

Hero found the goody right at the game's start. Startling!

I think that the duration of approval process is directly proportional to level of awesomeness.

Yeah, my currenty test game, I found the temple shield on floor 1... :)

Everything got awesome around Floor 18/19 for my dear Cecil. First temple shield, then a dragonscale shield at Floor 20 and finally paragonized at 22 (spammed the Drake's Fortune for a bit but got bored with that approach).

The choices for Cecil now are:
    1) Fart around on the deeper levels for a lark and some loot whist waiting for the update OR see if I can actually get the damn sword out for once
    and
    2) Dragonscale or Temple for ascent? Thinking temple for the regenerative properties.

Ah, "paragon-ized" i mean  Just making up verbs as I go. Cecil reached level 25and became a paragon, apparently. Centipedes still overwhelm him though.

    Techie Question

I know Madgarden has said that he might think about syncing SoF games on iPad and iPhone. Unlike server-based games, would this be tricky to do? (I've no idea whether there are plans for the iPad and iPhone versions of the game to diverge in terms of gameplay in the future.)

Follow-up question: Since the Fargoal version for iPhone and i*Pod* is identical, would that be easier to do?

Once in awhile, I play on an iPod Touch I got free. But the sound quality is so tinny compared with the iPhone that I don't use the Touch often. But I do have a really good game started on the Touch and am wishing it were on the Phone.

casualty, I know how exactly how Cecil feels. Often my Zero gets so overwhelmed by the 'pede swarms that he spends a lot of time slipping back and forth through tunnels, dark and dank (and also damned handy).
