Can't wait... I've been playing this game for a while now, easily my most played game on my iPod. Hell, I even play it pixel-doubled on the iPad. Need to pick up Legends... Thanks a lot for a great game Madgarden!
You should make a graveyard floor that randomly spawns as a different floor into each game, which has a headstone for all the past adventurers.. and it grows as you keep playing. Ehh, I wish! So excited for 2.0!!
The thought of OpenFeint makes me sick. Don't go down that road Paul. Please. I would be good with GameCenter if Apple didn't shove us old owners to the curb. Hasn't Fargoal sold enough to be able to support it's own server? Why not just have a High Score system online?
What's wrong with OpenFeint? And I hope GameCenter is good, I really like being able to track my game playing habits although I don't think OF has an "hours played" feature and that's what I love most. 2.0 looks so awesome. I've been really enjoying the game and playing on squire since I pretty much suck.
Ugly, laggy, intrusive, and bloated. It's aesthetic never fits the games, achievment and start up pop ups lag, and often cover up buttons and often force the user into the openfeint UI, and it is full of useless features and has a terrible UI.
I've never had that experience. Usually it is because the dev doesn't take the tame to configure OF correctly. For instance I was just playing a top down shooter with finger control and instead of the achievement popping up on the bottom like some games it popped up on the top and they're also translucent so I could still see the boss, plus they last all of what, 1-2 seconds? As for the lag you must be running 4.0 on a 3G or something as I have never had it lag out a game before, except at first run when I have bad service and it takes a while to connect to the OF servers. As for the UI that is totally personal preference and if they added skins maybe it would appease some people like you. Personally I just hope GameCenter is good and every developer picks it up because having Plus+, Crystal, OpenFeint and others makes for a headache when trying to have a real friends list.
Hmm, that is a pretty cool idea Vinvy. I'll think about it. Whether I add something like OpenFeint or GameCenter, or not, it doesn't matter... I will still be tracking all sorts of stats (like time spent playing) that you can view in game, or after the game is done. Doesn't need OF.
Yeah, it's really not something I'm going to rush to for Fargoal. People can still have tons of stats for their game on the local device. I will be tracking every frickin' stat I can think of.
