I don't think waiting for a sale is a good idea... in fact I suspect the price will go up once Fargoal 2 hits.
Hello, This is Jeff, and you both are right! At the time I last updated the app store description we really did think that "coming soon" was within weeks, not months. It is completely my fault for not updating the app store description since then. I will go in and change how it reads right away. By way of explanation I *can* say that every single day has been filled with a significant amount of effort and time especially on the part of Madgarden (Paul) whom you all hear from often on the forums and that effort *will* result in a monumental improvement in an already appreciated game. Paul has been working feverishly to rebuild almost every aspect of the game from the ground up. Not only will the current 'spirit' of the game continue to be honored, but there is now an additional richness and depth that adds to the feeling of how smart, responsive, and packed-full the game now feels. I can say that we are now in the home stretch, where the majority of the 'rebuilding' is complete, and Paul us adding back all the content day-by-day, plus more and more new stuff. I really believe you all will enjoy what's well 'coming soon!' Sincerely, Jeff McCord Fargoal, LLC
I've got no idea, haha. Madgarden has given us so many bits and pieces of info it's hard to remember everything and collect it into one list of enhancements.
Thanks for chiming in Jeff! hamster787, once you find the Sword... you have to escape the dungeon alive. In this sort of game, it's about the journey as much as it is the quest... which is what makes it so re-playable. Many other games, you finish it once and then that's it, end of story, you're done with it. Fargoal is different every time, so you'll have a totally new experience each time you dive in. And on that note, this is what Fargoal 2 is all about... the unique adventure that you will have each time you play. Fargoal 2 just multiplies this principle tenfold with all of the additions and enhancements that have been added. Tons of new items and magic and monsters and character classes, but also... totally new dungeon arrangements and branches and maps and rooms that vary wildly to provide a fresh, kick-ass adventure-filled experience each time. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.
For the amount of content you are already getting plus being upgraded to an universal more content included 2.0, its a steal, no its straight robbery!!
i understand but i you can see how its annoying if you buy something and it goes on sale straight after, especially if you set your self a budget of £2 a week
haha yeh no i can afford to spend more than £2 a week easy but if i but if i do i know i will be spending alot i mean even at £2 a week thats £102 and if your in uni money doesn't come flooding in so i try to save money were i can
If you're developing a game for the app store, sell it too cheap and not enough people buy it, money goes flooding out. This I know quite well.
Just noticed you guys are from Kitchener! Well hi there, from Barrie! Great game, can't wait for the big update.
If you don't like it, I'm blaming Mindfield...for no reason other than I haven't seen him stalking this thread in a while and miss his humour.
Greetings, eh! Yup, I am working on sewer holes right now. Whee! A bit of medieval urban exploration action.
Way happy to see this thread come to life again. Can only imagine how many pages will be added when the update arrives. We've always had a neat mix of hard core medium core gamers and noobs on this board. And forums where the devs hang out and actually _engage_ (watch that, madgarden!) are always a hoot.
Yes, Madgarden, I have to say that each time I see something new you add it is amped up to the next level in terms of the 'coolness-factor.' You keep adding little subtleties like the little dudes little wobble when they walk, monsters behaving 'smarter,' and graphics just fantastic in their level of character and detail. The only thing is that I think the rogue character looks a little too much like Michael Keaton's title character in the movie "Beetlejuice" right now! ;^) Jeff
