Ok, I bit the bullet on the iPhone version as well.

Are there any differences between this one and Legends that I should be expecting?

Will Fargoal 2 be a free upgrade to the iPhone version?

I haven't noticed any differences between the 2 so far other than the iphone version appears to LOVE teleporting me all over this run , Yes the upgrade to 2.0 is for the iphone version.

 

I don't recall any differences in Legends currently...but they could have sneaked something in there that I wasn't aware of. However, Legends (the iPad version) will not be getting the free upgrade to 2.0 and will instead remain the "classic" version but will become universal.

Yes, Fargoal 2 will be a free upgrade to the iPhone version (will also be, or stay, rather, universal)

So, if you have both versions now, you'll be good to go when 2.0 arrives!

Nudder Question

Maybe this has been answered before. If I am playing Fargoal 2 universal-Hooray! on both iPhone and iPad will my games-in-progress be synced between the two devices? Or might that be the case sometime in the future? Would be neat, but not a game-changer for me.

I just noticed that Sword of Fargoal Legends went universal, does it have any extras that Sword of Fargoal doesn't have?

Sure... Legends is universal. But seriously, Legends will be the universal version of the *current* Sword of Fargoal that everyone knows. The iPhone version will be upgraded to version 2 with all of the new content, and also go universal. So, they will be two very different games.

 

So, would the recent change of Legends to universal mean that Fargoal 2 is closer that you've been letting on?

Not really. We were going to try to release all of these changes at once, but it's just dragging on too long, so universal it goes. Legends was long overdue for a bugfix update.

 

In that case, now that I can play Legends (which I picked up on sale a long time ago in anticipation of the upcoming changes) is there anything at all different in the Legends version other than the name and the achievements?

I have Sword of Fargoal (for iPhone). It's on 1.7 and hasn't been updated in almost a year.

I have Sword of Fargoal Legends (for iPad, and now iPhone). It's at version 1.8.

Can you please explain the difference between the two versions? You might want to use small words because I am feeling slow and stupid.

 

Sword of Fargoal Legends (iPad) -> upgrades to version 1.8, becomes universal
Sword of Fargoal (iPhone) -> will upgrade to version 2.0, become universal

 

So which is better, and which should I keep on my phone? Please don't say both, I'm only keeping one. Obviously Legends will stay on the iPad.
