I like your HTML <pester> coding. That sometimes works for Paul... Many late nights and very close to submitting now. -- JM
Yes it's coming! Won't likely make it before Christmas due to timing of the iTunes shutdown etc. I just added a really cool and funky map.
I'd like to suggest one more improvement to this already fantastic game. I think it would be more suspensful and exciting if enemies were only visible by line of sight. For example, you can only see enemies that your character would realistically be able to see in the game (i.e. not foes behind walls). Think of Paradroid for the C64 and you'll get what I mean. It makes the experience far more tense as you enter a room and wonder who is lurking in there.
Ooh, shimmering lights from disco balls and colourful, backlit floor tiles? Being challenged to strut-offs by Solid Gold dancers? Attacked by packs of slavering Denny Terrios? Because that would be epic.
*Enchanted* disco shoes And that's a good idea, bluewomble88. Had pondered that before. I'll discuss it with the others.
And +3 Bellbottoms, a 3" Golden Medallion of Extra Chest Hair, and razor-sharp, extra-wide lapels that can be used as close combat weapons. Welcome to the Disco Dungeon.
Is there any way to guarantee disarming traps? It's just that I'm down to level 13 now and I've done well to use the sneak button to discover traps and then choose disarm but every single one says "oops" and I get hammered. There are loads of enemies around too meaning I'm already low on health and on 2 occasions I lost my map trying to disarm. That's just overboard IMO.
Currently no, but that's a good point and I have been looking into fun ways to increase certain probabilities with the new additions in the update. Yes, I hate the losing of the map thing.
I hope not, because I may have found a bug. Several times now I have managed to both ascend or descend stairs, or follow a hole in the wall, only to discover that it didn't lead back to where I came from. The stairs (or the hole) back just weren't there. It wasn't really a big deal thanks to there being multiple ways to get to a particular area, but it was still a bit irritating, and I don't think this was by design. I think it was just a glitch in the dungeon generation routine that created stairs or holes to a level or area without a corresponding staircase or hole back.
60% off SALE for 24 hours Sword of Fargoal is on sale for 60% off, just for a little while! Go grab it if you haven't already: http://bit.ly/8MDq3N Mindfield, I'll look into that... weird! Can you be more specific about the problem, i.e. specific cases, what tiles you see? Like, is there a chest instead of stairs etc.
Thanks RankSao. Well, mainly it's about getting more people aware of our game! So many apps, and the Zenonias and Inotias etc. dominate. So a 1-day sale will hopefully help spread the word a little.
I was waiting for a sale on this, just bought, from what I've read and seen I'm sure I wont regret it
Bah, by then they can pay full price! Heck maybe there could be some anti-sale at that point like when the Alchemize guy jumped his game's price up to $40 or so.
