If the treasure chest had a trap (toxic, acid, body, etc) then you can close it to rearm the trap. The human enemies go for closed treasure chests as soon as they see them since they are looking for new items/spells just like you are.
You already can in a similar manner. Tap on a tile you want to move to. If you've got a path to it, you'll move there. Otherwise you'll move 'til you run into something impassable in that direction. With regard to traps, if you're not standing over something else the smart button in the top right will be "sneak." Tap it and move on top of the trap. When you do the button will change to a disarm button. Tap it and you'll have a chance (but no guarantee) that you'll disarm it. Note that this only works if you know there's a trap there, so best cast a spell of detect traps. You can do this for pressure plates you can obviously see without that spell, but not for chests, rubble piles, etc.
I have!! Detect trap spell and find the chests with traps to use the wand on EDIT: Just noticed a bug with Asps in pots. If you are in a confined area like a corridor that is one square wide and feel inside a pot which spawns asps they will spawn inside the wall. Not that i'm complaining mind you, less asps is always a good thing
I did, they just spring the traps. Handy at times, but I tend just to take the damage unless I'm in a situation where I can't afford to do so.
Please don't yell buuuuuuutt...... any idea when the bugfix update will be out? It's just that I'm suffering from the invisible and wrong floor bugs quite a lot.
Next week, wobbles... next week. See I said that just like they do in the movies, all contemplative and meaningful. Asp-in-a-wall is all the rage these days don't you know? I'll take a peek at that. Already fixed a ton of stuff... and other things. Busy busy!
Maybe I should have explained myself a bit better. A D-pad, if it is well made, would make it much easier to navigate long, winding hallways quickly. In addition, it would make it easier to play the game with two thumbs. Also, in my opinion, the 3D walls of the dungeon look out of place when everything else is in 2D.
Sometimes I think a D-Pad might be useful in certain situations, but the vast majority of the time, the fact that the entire screen is a D-pad -- and an analog one at that! -- works beautifully. Didn't hurt Doom or any of the other early FPS games. Yes, I realize this is top-down but the principle is the same, and frankly I love the way it looks. The juxtaposition of old-school 2D with modern effects and 3D design in this case meld together beautifully here. There's an odd yet wonderful sense of immersion that works almost in spite of the 2D sprites. I wouldn't have it any other way.
Maybe I'm lucky, but I haven't run into any game breaking bugs at all yet, just a couple of minor annoyances. Last night I died with the sword in view (three steps away). I would like to say it was a bug in the code, but it was just the normal stupidity in my case! Regardless, the game is quite playable IMO in the current state if anyone is one the fence about purchasing. I have only played on Hero level so far, but I can say that the game is quite a bit more of a challenge with the latest update. Making good use of potions is an absolute must now, which is a good thing.
The look of rage on my hero's face is priceless! I was also doing 70-80 damage at level 10 so that was priceless too
Grats to VeganTnT (and any others I missed) for defeating Legend mode! I have a feeling it's gonna be the death of my iPhone... because every time I die I feel like chucking the #%&@*$* thing. And I've died ALOT
Sneak disarm doesn't work on rubble, embedded floor traps like the fire trap, or the big plates in the spiral vaults o' doom.
Sneak/disarm. Since you can't see the traps here you need to have a spell of Detect Traps active in order to know there's a trap you can disarm there. Then you can sneak on top of rubble piles and potentially disarm them. Chests you don't need to sneak on top of though, you can just walk on top of those and disarm (with the spell active).
I found an area on the map that is essentially a small room containing 2 chests. They are surrounded by walls and I have looked EVERYWHERE to try and get inside to see what awaits. What am I doing wrong?
